Couch cleaning service filled our home with carbon monoxide during service. Our CO detectors proceeded to alarm for over 30 minutes after technician left. After emergency responders were dispatched and worked to clear our house of carbon monoxide, owner **** refused to apologize or accept responsibility. He then proceeded to call me a "prick" and my wife a "bitch" and yelled "take me to court" before hanging up on us. Reprehensible owner putting his customers at physical risk without accepting any responsibility.

I did recieve a phone call from this clients wife. I was trying to talk to her about this insodent with a minor issue. While i was in mid sentance this husband. i believe he told me his name was *****. He apparently grabbed the phone from her and started getting very vulgar. Throwing many F bombs. I did tell him to stop talking to me like that. He Persisted to use very vulgar language. What said. And I quote(I will not stand for some ***** talking to me that way) End quote. And then i hung up on him.

And with his accusation of calling his wife a b**** thats an absolute LIE. I at no time used vulgarity at either of them. except the word *****. and i would use it again in the same situation

they had a very minor issue at there home. Any carpet cleaning company may have gone through the same thing.

a refund of any kind is unwaranted and will not happen

Next time try to be nice. it will go a lot farther with people

      Customer response

This small business owner's refusal to accept the danger of this situation and his culpability is possibly more frightening than his lack of accountability or empathy. The statement of facts here is that this business exposed our home to potentially fatal levels of carbon monoxide, resulting in the need for emergency services to be dispatched. This is not a statement of conjecture or hyperbole - I have CO level readings with timestamps showing 38 minutes above "emergency level" carbon monoxide within our small home which was confirmed by the fire department upon arrival. Further, owner's own technician was exposed not once but at a second appointment before ours today by his own admission, further demonstrating the careless risk this business owner is comfortable exposing his own customers and employees to. After my wife tried to explain this risk, he reduced her to tears with her words, at which point she handed the phone to me unable to speak. I used one vulgarity, referring to the carbon monoxide as "f***ing poison" at which point small business owner verbally assaulted and insulted me. At no point did this business offer anything remotely close to an apology, belittling our situation and even trying to reduce it by calling it "minor" in the response above. Business owner's callousness and careless attitude not only puts the community at risk but his own employees. Refusal to accept responsibility and show any empathy is beyond reproach. I do not accept whatever sorry explanation was provided and expect a full written apology and actions to demonstrate remorse and even a sliver of desire to make us feel like human beings. Simply unacceptable behavior.
