IMHO Taxi is a ripoff. They post having around 65 past and present A&R people who work or have worked with them. Funny how when you have your tunes rated they only list a number but not any person's name who supposedly rated it. Regardless, it appears no matter what you submit they find a myriad of reasons why they aren't willing to submit it to any company. One reason I was told, was that my music isn't contemporary....first off....no kidding, I think most of the "contemporary" music I've heard is pure c*** I have no desire to write music that sounds like the same c*** infecting the air waves. But open mic nights and music events all across the country have live classic rock from the 60's to the 90's. Thousands of people enjoy music from those eras but I've never heard anyone play anything from so called contemporary artists. Maybe its because they don't feel like performing in their underwear, like they do, to get any attention since the music *****. Older audiences spend money too but not to listen to c*** Second, if that's the only kind of junk they want to promote they should say so. But do they, no they don't, but then they suddenly ask for 60, 70 & 80's styles....but even then there is always something they find that doesn't cut it. Thirdly, it cost $300 dollars to join....what did you get for that?.....the opportunity to spend more money for EVERY SONG you submit. What a racket! $300 buys you NOTHING!! So how do you know your not getting ripped off? YOU DON'T! But I could create a site, post "experts" who you have no way of proving they did or don't work for me, promise to send your songs to record companies and others and maybe even send a couple to actual record labels knowing they would be rejected, just to cover my ****, and last but not least....give you a review of your songs but always finding a reason they don't quite cut it and of course charging you a fee for every submission. Moral of the story, don't waste your money!!

*****, I was gonna sign up for you guys but the reviews have been a little all over the place as far as you ripping people off, fake guarantee placements, false advertisement, and almost not approving anything. $300 is steep in this climate for a small chance of return on investment. After all, thats what the music business is about nowadays. Money. However Im always willing to take a smart risk if Im able. But seeing your replies to the reviews actually has me more disappointed than the actual reviews. Unprofessional. Good luck though.

Last year I was invited to Roast Really, Taxi's annual conference and became a member right away. When you submit to a listing that didn't get forwarded, they actually let you know why, so you can improve your craft. There are forums where members can discuss and share information. The FREE annual conference alone is worth more than the annual fee. Networking to the next level! I met so many artists there that I've been able to collaborate with and learn from. They bring out so many industry pros to teach on a variety of subjects This past weekend at the conference, some rmusic supervisors heard some of my songs and asked me to send them more. One of them was someone I've tried to contact for years. It's not possible to take advantage of the conference, the forums, the feedback, and the webinars without benefiting If you're just dabbling in music, maybe it's not a fit. But if you want to become more of a professional- especially sync (TV/Film music... Taxi is a must
