We hired Closets By Design to build three closets: under-stairs, in a niche between the floors and in a corridor on the 2nd floor. The installation was set on October 15, 2024.When the job was completed, the workmanship was nowhere near of what was shown in the companys catalogue. Top edge of some MDF boards was exposed and not covered with a decorative band.There were multiple scratches/defects here and there.The edge of doors has multiple defects.The one closets doors were misaligned.The glue was not completely cleaned off.The space under the closet had building debris.Called ****** the installation manager, and left my phone number with the *************** took ***** full two days to call me back. He asked me to send pictures, and I did.Two weeks passed- nothing happened. ***** disappeared.Horrible companys culture, horrible workmanship, horrible customer service.If I could give this company -10, I would.

My consultant, ******* was amazing. She listened to what I needed and created magic. She gave me an extra 77 of space for hanging clothes and additional space for shoes. Cant wait for my installation.

I would cancel my order if I could. Non-responsive. **** getting transferred from sales to installation back to sales again. Not all pleased with their customer service. They are quick to take your money and thats about it.

They are great in showing you what can be done in your closet space.

***************************** ************** Paid nearly $15,500 for 2 walk in closets. Paid 50% deposit at time of contract. Was told the installation would start after approximately 2 months and would take 1 day but may spill into 2nd day. Company expected payment in full prior to start, which I paid. Minimal progress made first 2 days of installation.Every visit required multiple calls to obtain a date of when the installer would return. Minimal progress made each time. Missing material, poor material with scratches. Errors in design. Installer put in shelving and left the door blocked so it could not be closed. One panel had a large crack in it that was seen after installation and left in place until I insisted it is fixed/replaced.There were gaps (mostly corrected after many calls/emails). Missing Rods in my closet. Missing panels. Missing molding (which the installer was not even aware was part of the project). Limited knowledge what was in the contract and to be installed. Each time promised that next time job will be completed, yet to this date 2 months later, the closets are not yet finished. Wrong cabinets in both closets paid for upgrades to soft close-wrong ones delivered and installed. Cabinets uneven size. Wrong handles. When right ones finally delivered -poorly installed and are hanging off due to faulty installation/threading. Lack of communication and quality control between their factory and installation manager as well as installers just added to major emotional stress and delays.I did insist at one point that the installation manager come to the house. He came and did show empathy and did throw in a few shelves to make up for the errors. However, after that continued to ignore calls &give empty promises.Bad communication between company client as well as between factory and installers, poor management to ensure all material is provided to installer, very poor responsiveness, and likely shortage of staff/installers.

We had an excellent experience with ****** during her in-home visit. From the moment she arrived, she felt like someone we had known for a long time, and we immediately felt at ease with her. Her design skills are exceptionalshe transformed a lot of wasted space into something highly functional. We received two other quotes (one less expensive, one more), but we chose to go with ****** because of her professionalism and understanding of our specific needs. While other **** focused on criticizing competitors, ****** remained focused on offering the best closet solution possible. We couldnt be happier with our choice!

Can't complain about the work but I can complain about the sale tactics. Hi pressure to sign up that day and not get a second opinion. Refusing to look at the two other closets I indicated I wanted the same work done on unless I signed up right then or they came back. Some people will fall for this.

Both the Designer (****** *****) and the Installer (****** *******) did a fantastic and highly professional job. The outcome was fantastic. Happy wife....Happy life!
