If I could give less than one star, I would. I enrolled with American Home Warranty when I purchased my first home. The only time I attempted to use the service, they told me I would have to find someone to do the work, get it approved by them, have the work done, and they'd pay it. Completely different than what was included in my agreement. I should have cancelled then, but I did not. A couple of months ago I was having an issue in my home and I go online to file a claim. There website is no where to be found. I search for a phone number. Found nothing. Did a ****** search and learned about all the litigation against them in various states, read that they had gone out of business without telling their customers and no one had been able to reach them. A payment had just come out of my account, so I disputed. It was only then that they emailed me with their "New" information. Then they contested the disputed charge saying that I had just emailed them to cancel. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It's definitely shady. We told them to cancel everything and went with another warranty company.

I have the same issue with American home warranty, they will not find a contractor to do the repair on my home, they charged me $75.00 for deductible which was nonrefundable, up to now I have not got any answer from ARW. I paid $500.00 to have my water ******* repaired, it has been a week they are giving me the run around. do not do business with ARW.*********************AmericanHomeWarranty.org Response

Do not honor contract, offer sub par contractors rated F. 2 weeks to response to a plumbing issue which their contract states 48 hrs. There contractors quoted $4200, which we refused ,able to find contractor fixed the same job for $400. American Home warranty would not honor our claim . This Company is a Scam and we believe the contractor is in on it (WD Contractor, which is rated F )AmericanHomeWarranty.org Response
