Date of transaction: 12/20/22 $380 (by personal check) was paid to install a kitchen hood over the range top. On that day, the installer noticed I was setting up for the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah and was became very rude and started using curse words in my home. He proceeded with muddy boots, no gloves, and ended up damaging my white kitchen. He scratched my brand new cabinet, scratched my brand new Thermador 36"range top, and left handprints from his dirty hands all over my newly painted white ceiling. The instructions for the hood specifically say to use gloves, however he decided against it. I called the company immediately after the installation to let them know of the damages. Their manager, ******** called and left a message one week later on 12/29/22. I proceeded to call her back in January and February and have still not received a call back to file a claim for damages to my property. They were supposed to return to my property today (2/23/23) to finish the remaining installation of the duct cover. After I kindly asked them to wear protection on their feet and hands to avoid further damage, they refused service and said they will not be coming back to finish the job. I am still waiting to file a claim for the damages to my property. The lowest quote I received from a licensed contractor to repair the damages is $440 total with a breakdown below:Repainting of the ceiling is $250 Repairing kitchen cabinet is $190 (cheaper than replacing the original cost and installation which was approximately $450 for the cabinet and $300 for the install of the cabinet and $250 to rewire the led lighting underneath).
