Pacific Medical Laboratory ******, ** https://www.pacificmedlab.com/Medical Lab Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare An Individual was scammed Lost $0.00 Here's my experience: 1) I visited a new ******* ****************************** ** at ******************* and Endoc Ctr in ************, ** on March 5th 2020 and she sent me to an In-Network lab next to her office (Pacific Medical Laboratory) who coded my information incorrectly which caused my insurance at the time (Aetna) to deny it. 2) The lab then proceeded to send me multiple notifications that the amount was due and each time a new letter came the price would increase. 3) Immediately after the first letter arrived I called Aetna and confirmed that it had been coded incorrectly. 4) I called ******************* billing office and spoke to a lady named ****** and she confirmed that they did code it incorrectly and multiple patients were having a similar issue. She then proceeded to help without success. 5) Today, Nov., 2021, I received another **** from the lab but this time when I called ****** she advised me to pay the **** at the MediCal rate. I told her that since the Dr sent me to a bad lab I believe either the Lab or the Dr should cover the cost as I did my part...I paid my insurance and followed my Dr's instructions to the Lab that was In Network. She just told me to pay the ****. I'm beyond frustrated as this is incredibly wrong. I'm held captive by a crooked Lab.Initial Complaint

Some time ago I was sent to a medical lab for routine blood tests, *** test, and chest Xray as a prelim health check prior to elective surgery. I was told all three test would be done at the lab, in one visit, for about $300.00...I paid $300 and blood was drawn, then I was hooked up to the **** The *** indicated that I was in the middle of a heart attack and I was instructed to go immediately to the Emergency room at ******. I then spent 5 hours in the ****** emergency room, where I underwent a second *** test, and everything was fine - no heart attack. While at ******, I also had blood drawn and a chest xray (all precautionary measures). My co-pay and other fees for this came to about $150, which I paid. The results of these ****** tests were sent to the Dr who needed them for the elective surgery. I contacted the first Lab and was told the *** had malfunctioned (giving a false heart attack reading). They apologized profusely and refunded the $300 that I had paid. I had my elective surgery. Several weeks later I received a $285.00 **** from Pacific Medical Laboratory for blood test results - apparently, the Lab with the faulty ***, in spite of having cancelled our transaction, had inadvertently sent my blood samples to the lab for testing. I explained to Pacific Med Lab that I owed them nothing, that I had had a disastrous experience (as described above), and that their issue was with the lab that sent them the blood samples, not with me. Pacific Medical Lab continued harassing me with bills, for services that were, or should have been, cancelled by the first lab, and for which I received no benefit - my Dr having received the required tests from ******. My complaint now is that their demand has turned up as a collection on my credit history, effectively wrecking my otherwise spotless credit report. The amount Pacific Med Lab is demanding now is $363.00.....My request is that this $363.00 "debt" be completely removed from my life, and from my credit history.
