I cancelled my service with HomeShield Pest Control in August. I spoke with the supervisor (****) and he advised that they would put a stop payment to my automatic payments. I was billed two more times. Each time, I called and asked them to confirm and stop payment. I requested a refund for the fees. I was told that I would receive the refund within 72 hours. Homeshield tented my house for termites and broke 41 roof tiles. Part of the contract I signed is they will replace up to 75 roof tiles for free (I just need to provide them with the replacement tiles which I do have). The damage occurred on July 13th and I have attempted approximately 5 times since to call and secure an appointment date to have them replaced. I have been told several times I will be contacted and never have been with an appointment. I just called again and was told they are unable to schedule an appointment. I stated due to mine and my wifes jobs we need to schedule this in advance and Homeshield continues to tell me they cant even put me on the schedule. I have paid in full $3,350 for a service that has not been provided.Initial Complaint

I called Home Shield to come check out my house as we now have a small mouse problem in our attic, and I use them for a mosquito service. **** came out and walked the property and came up with a game plan, and gave me a quote. He said he couldn't email me as his system was down which I though weird, but he wrote it all out for me and even **** me a detailed map which was nice. He said he would call me the next day to see if I wanted to move forward and never did. I called him a week later and he apologized and said he was busy and that he'd get back to me and he didn't.. so I had to again follow up 8 hours later. He picked up only to say he's sorry but his Supervisor, WHO HE WILL NOT NAME, said that ****'s quote was 'way too low' and that a) he said it was too much work, and b) if they DID do the work, it would need to be significantly higher. Mind you, the quote was already for $2,800!!! It was all exterior work just around SOME of the perimeter of our smaller house, so why it was that expensive in the first place is beyond me. Extremely disappointing for a company not to stand by a quote, and poor customer service to boot. Why **** refused to give his Supervisors name is beyond me; was he trying to scam me for more money??? Buyer beware!!!Initial Complaint

I hired Homeshield to come to our property once a quarter to control/reduce the large amount of roaches on our property. The first time they visited (at a rate of $125 a visit) they did good work. Then the second visit was scheduled. But this time when their tech showed up, he did not perform any services. All he did was sitting in the vehicle and when he finally came out of the vehicle, he just put the invoice in my front door and left. I was sitting in my bedroom on the second floor and witnessed everything. So I spoke to their regional manager on the phone, asked for the refund, and said I was not going to pay for services NOT performed. And also I wanted to cancel the rest of the visits. Their manager said that I cannot cancel the plan as I signed the annual contract with them. If I cancel it, I will need to pay for the penalty. In addition, they cannot even refund the second visit which they didn't do any services. All they can do was to re-do the service which I refused to accept because I don't trust them anymore. They were being a liar all the time. When my wife signed the contracted with them, the representative clearly said that we can cancel the plan anytime we want. I would report them to BBB. In any event, this is ridiculous. I would like to let people know that this company cannot be trusted.
