The business will not refund the dress even though it was received damaged and the item did not fit. I sent them a proof of delivery and they have not resolved the matter. They're not acting in good faith and am trying to place the blame on me as the customer.Initial Complaint

Today, February 24, 2023, I accessed the business' website to purchase a dress. I had a coupon code for 20% off the purchase price of $98.00. The coupon successfully applied, making the order total reflect in my cart at checkout as $78.40. I got to the end of the checkout process after filling in all information (demographics, billing information and shipping information). Once I clicked "Order" to submit my order, it brought me to an order confirmation page and showed a order total of $98.00. I immediately contacted customer service and the representative stated they were not responsible for codes provided on third-party sites, but failed to acknowledge that their checkout system did reflect the coupon successfully. They refused to honor the coupon, despite their checkout system reflecting a successfully applied coupon with discounted price and the bait and switch tactic of charging a different amount upon submission, in violation of both Federal and State consumer protection laws, specifically with regard to unfair and deceptive trade practices. After a long period of arguing via chat, I requested and received an initiation of a full refund (still processing), but my desired resolution is to be able to purchase the product at the price reflected upon successful application of the coupon code I was able to use: $78.40. Both a screenshot of the checkout screen reflecting properly applied discount, and a full (redacted) transcript of the customer service chat are attached.
