I signed up for an called rocket money that puts all subscriptions in a list.Noticed a month ago ******* has been changing $13.99 every month.After checking my email I could only find the ******* MoneyGram from 2017. Not sure if their connected since I've never had a ******* card other than a gift card.I've tried to cancel 3 times from calling or canceling through rocket money but no luck.Initial Complaint

They canceled my transaction by form of not giving the receiver the monies, which forced me to cancel that transaction and remit a new transaction, therefore l, they took my money twice. They paid one transaction and kept thee other. I have called numerous times throughput the two weeks and two days as of today and they would not help me. I was forced to call my bank for a refund which is pending the 90 day investigation. Their business practices are questionable and should be investigated by the Banking regulatory commission.Initial Complaint

I recently bought 2 Moneygram checks totalling $**** to send as payment to my mortgage company. Both checks were stolen from the mail and cashed illegally. I contacted Moneygram and was informed by them that I needed to pay another $36 to receive a refund and it would process within 20 days. I called to check status of refund after 10 days to be informed that Moneygram does not refund cashed checks - whether by fraud or any reason. Once check is cashed- no refund. I explained again that I had proof that checks were stolen and was informed that if I paid another $35 they would attempt to recover money from bank that cashed check - a six month process with no guarantee that it would be successful. I feel that this is misleading advertising that omits the fact that they will not refund checks if stolen. I intend to file complaint with Office of Inspector General State of Ca. office that investigates misleading advertising for businesses operating in California. Hopefully, this will lead to audit and delineation of way refund is actually available. It should be stated clearly that if checks are stolen and fraudulently cashed there is no refund.Customer response
