I was referred to LAASER for my dog's emergency surgery. My dog, ******, had a tumor between her Spleen and *****. I want to LAASER on Thursday, June 27th. They said they would need to stabilize her before they could do the surgery and would need a deposit. They quoted me $5,840 but when I went to pay the deposit they charged my credit card the entire amount. The girl at the front desk (Asian with green and purple hair) said deposit in the veterinarian world means the full balance. I spoke with the manager and she said she would correct it. I left my dog there for the surgery and called that night to see how she was doing since she needed a couple blood transfusions. The person on the phone said they may not be able to do the surgery the next day because they may have other animals that were more emergent. I was so upset because my dog was given HOURS to live as the tumor was the size of a grapefruit, she was bleeding internally and is 14 years old. I called the place that referred me to them, ************ Veterinarian, to see what they could do. ***** called them and they told her my dog would have the surgery in the morning. I called in the morning to check on ****** and they said they wouldn't do the surgery because their doctor was out of town for the 4th of July holiday. My dog's blood count was 20% before the 2 transfusions and 30% after but she would be dead by the end of the holiday. Their response to me was I could pick up my dog. I found another emergency hospital and by the time I took her their - Friday at noon, her blood count was back at 20% so the transfusions were for nothing. They refunded me $1,833 but I don't think I should pay anything. They took my money to prepare my dog for a surgery they were never planning to perform. The doctor would not have left town unplanned so they knew they had no one to operate on my dog. The place that performed the surgery said it was a miracle my dog made it. LAASER almost killed my dog.

I paid $920 for a nutrition consult and recipe by *******************************. I explained that my dog was recently diagnosed with Transitional Cell Carcinoma (TCC). As a strong believer that food is medicine, I requested a WHOLE FOODS, NUTRITIOUS diet to be formulated for him. ******* tried to convince me that whole foods vs dry kibble, corn, wheat, soy etc. have no impact on the health of my pet. I explained to him that I did not want to feed my dog any of that stuff and requested things like cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, red bell peppers, blueberries, shiitake mushrooms, quinoa, cottage cheese, etc. I even asked him about oats and at first ******* was quick to say he wouldn't recommend oats but then in the same breath said that he would add them in. I told him that we were having an open discussion about my dog's food, and I would like to know why he objected to oats to which he replied they have too much phosphorous for my dog who also has stage 1 chronic kidney disease. So, he would have made the recipe with oats had I not interjected to ask him what his hesitation was about. After about a week and a half, I received my dog's recipe, and I can't tell you how disappointed and disgusted I am by it. It is an Olive ****** recipe for dogs. There was no effort, thought, or care put into it. No nutritional value in it. Processed Parmesan cheese and SPAGHETTI?No thought was put into my dog's recipe. It should have been triaged where ******* should have tried to treat the most pressing medical issue that my dog has which is the **** The kidney disease is only at level 1 which is great for a 16-year-old dog. He should have looked at ingredients that would help my dog's immune system fight the **** I wanted a refund IMMEDIATELY. ********, the alleged client services manager, called me and told me that they refuse to refund my money. She was indifferent and rude.

On October 16th we took our dog to LAASER emergency services due to a life-or-death situation with our dog. Surgery was required, and during the surgery a biopsy was conducted. The biopsy was not sanctioned by us, nor did we pay for the biopsy. A few days later, we found that an infection at the biopsy site was causing another life-or-death situation for our dog, and required another surgery. A discounted estimate was provided for the additional services, which we agreed to. At the time of paying the invoice, the rates provided on the estimate did not reflect the discounts provided in the documented estimate. Despite repeated emails and examples provided to the LAASER team, they have yet to provide us with an updated invoice and full refund for the rate discrepancy. It should be noted that they provided a partial discount for the initial example sent to them, but have gone silent when additional examples were provided. A PDF of the email thread is attached to this complaint as well as a consolidated timeline of events in the email thread, the invoice paid, and the estimate provided.

Now LAASER is saying seek help else where which would cost me money I don't have. If they broke her they should fix her for free like they offered while I was an employee. I didn't leave on a bad note so I don't know why they are refusing to fix the problem. I reached out to**** hospital manager******* tech manager and***** receptionist supervisor.
