I signed up for Beagle services because they showed me that I had a 401k account that I havent seen in years. I had to pay $19 (and given their website my debit card info) to review the information. As soon as I paid the money and updated my account, there is suddenly no accounts found. Ive emailed them constantly trying to get a response, Im worried its a scam who now has my bank account info. Theyve provided nothing in return. Ive requested a refund, my payment details deleted (I dont want any reoccurring charge), and my account deleted from their website. No response.You can see from their website they claim there is an account, and when I go to another vendor to find the account there is no record. I find it interesting they dont have a phone number listed to get ahold of them. I regret signing up for this and wish it didnt happen.Business response

I purchased their service to help me find old 401k accounts. They promised to help me log in to each account so I can get the balance. I am unable to access any of the accounts they listed. I get the message data not available.Business response

1. They state that you can cancel from your profile but then require you to cancel via email. See attached PDF that states you can cancel via profile on website 2. They have a lost 401k search. Before paying they stated that they found three lost 401k accounts belonging to me stating: guaranteed real matches. After paying, all three companies say that I have never had a 401k with them.Business response

Went on Beagle to find out if I had any 401k plans and it said I had 3. And pay to view them. I paid and got no information. Just transfered to a page to refer others. Can't contact any one by phone or chat. Their contact us page is a single email address that's all that's on the contact us page. Seems like a scam.Business response

Beagle was supposed to deposit my money but they never did. When I asked about it on numerous occasions, they gave me the run around. In the beginning, before they got their money they were super helpful and you could get ahold of them, but once they owe you, then the company becomes extremely hard to get ahold of, the customer care is extremely horrible. You call just to leave a message of your name, email and phone number, sometimes they call sometimes they dont. A lot of my messages go unanswered, when they do respond they are very short/ brief and sometimes misleading or untrue.Business response

*********************** rolled over his old 401k to receive a loan. His rollover check was deposited on 3-18-24, once his check was cleared on 3-25-24 he was notified that day that he needs to link his bank account to receive his 401k loan funds. ****** linked his bank account on 3-29-24 and his funds were sent the next business day 4-1-24. All of Peytons emails were answered within 24 hours. ****** was upset because he did not receive his loan funds earlier, but he had no linked bank account to receive them.

I am rejecting this response because:
After setting up my bank account on March 19th or 20th with beagle for the deposit, I was informed that I would receive 2 micro-deposits. I received 1 micro-deposit on March 20th of $0.01, for account verification, I was then waiting for the 2nd micro-deposit for verification that didn't come. The next day on March 21st I informed beagle that I had only received 1 of the micro-deposits, beagle's response was to ask what my 401k balance was, and if I wanted to transfer to beagle. I was confused because that money was already at beagle, and that is what I told beagle. Beagle responded with an apology for the misdirected message, then went on to say the money was under check clearing for 5 business days and they then process the loan request over the following 1-3 business days and ACH deposit funds into the bank account on file.On March 25th I asked when I should expect the 2nd micro-deposit for the on-boarding process, beagle's response on March 25th- "The funds will be disbursed this coming Thursday"
On March 28th that Thursday, I asked beagle when I should expect the disbursement, the same day beagle's response "We'll check this for you"
The next day, Friday March 29th, beagle responded with "It seems you have not finished linking your bank account, so we haven't been able to withdraw your loan. Please, try to link it again and let us know once it is ready." I responded "I followed the steps, I was just never sent the second micro deposit. I asked about it on Thursday the 21st and Monday. And Monday I was told that the disbursement would be in my account Thursday. Just to humour them I went back and read the directions I was given, re-did the account verification process, which was exactly the same as the first time, with the same account info as the 1st time. And just like the 1st time the 1st micro-deposit showed up, I entered the 3 letters that were needed for verification, the verification was accepted. I waited for the 2nd micro-deposit that never came.
I had not received a response from beagle, so I tried to get ahold of them through texts, email and phone calls on Monday April 1st. Later I then got a response from beagle, they then told me again that I had not set up my bank account, the same day I was Charged $3.99 from beagle. So I informed them "You're able to charge me, you're able to dispense my money. After then being upset and showing frustration, I was getting the run around, and letting them know they had the info they needed to send my money. They finally sent my money, that I received April 2nd, soon after they charged $99, and $2.00 on April 4th, all without having to do anymore account verifying even though they told me I had not set up my account.

At Beagle, we use Stripe to manage account linking processes, which is why we are unable to provide specific details about issues with micro-deposits for manual verification. Once your bank account was successfully linked, we proceeded to send your 401k loan funds the next business day.
Regarding the charges to your account, they pertain to the 401k loan processing fee and the monthly 401k loan custody fee, as per the terms you agreed to. We understand your frustration and appreciate the patience you had throughout the process.

Purchased a 1 time search for a 401k, then when I went to activate it, it just returned me to a page to share a link with my friends. No activity was done to search for the information and no attempt was made to recover money from any supposed places holding a 401k for me. They took my $25 and sent me on loops on site.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/28) */ The customer paid us to help find their 401k's. We found two accounts and we told them where to view the accounts we found after they emailed us. We even refunded the customer since they seem to be unhappy about the process.
