June 2, 2022 $1500 deposit **** came out and measured for a Sunesta Sunshade. He needed $1500 deposit to order the shade and said he would be back to install the first few weeks of July 2022...it is now October 2022! Unfortunately after several attempts through voice, texts and email to ****, he has not responded. Basically took our $1500 (he cashed it on June 6th) and did not order the Sunshade, just kept the money.There has been no resolution as he will not respond!Initial Complaint

I gave ******************* of Newcastle screens a 50% deposit ($1948) for a solar screen and a replacement solar shade on 2/11/2022. I had texted him on and off the last 4 or 5 months about why it is taking so long for installation. The only time he responded was when I threaten to give him a back review. He would respond about having health issues. I am sensitive to that, but started to check on prior reviews and noticed many had said he would ghost them and the work never got started. Some lost their deposit. Some would complain and he eventually finish the job. I had texted him 4 times within the last week and with no response from ****. I finally text and said I am done and want my deposit back. No surprise.......he did not respond.Initial Complaint

On 3/30/22 I entered into a contract with Newcastle Screen Co., ***************************************************************************. The contract was for a retractable screen to be installed on my patio. I wrote a deposit check for $1,699.00, which was cashed on 4/4/22. Newcastle Screen Co. owner, *********************, has done similar work for me on prior occasions.After 3/30/22 I didn't hear from ***** again until I left him a voice mail on 6/2/22 telling him he needed to install my new screen no later than 6/9/22, or return my my deposit money. He responded with a rambling text message at 10:48 pm, 6/2/22, copy attached.I know of at least two other individuals who have also been similarly victimized by *****, and who have filed complaints with BBB and CSLB, one person is *******************************, also a resident of *********, **.Initial Complaint

We met ******************* owner of Newcastle Screen Company at the **************** on October 16, 2021. He came to our house in Fairfield on October 20, 2021 and gave us an estimate for $7230 and asked for a deposit of $4230. He cashed the check that same day and has never returned. He use to answer his phone or texts but he just kept making excuses. He says his son was in a car accident and in rehab etc. He was supposed to come on 5/21/22 to install but for the 10th time at least he has not honored his word.Initial Complaint

On March 5, 2022, Newcastle Screen owner, *******************, came to our house and measured for a patio screen. We agreed on a price of $3,800.00 and gave him a check for $1,900.00 as down payment. **** stated that he would order the materials and the screen would be installed in 4 to 6 weeks. After 2 months we have tried to reach **** almost daily by phone, text, or email. No one has responded to any of these contact attempts.Initial Complaint

I WAS TOLD IN MARCH 2021 THAT THE SCREEN THAT WAS INSTALLED HAD "HOUR GLASSED" AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AND WAS UNDER WARRANTY. WAS ORDERED AND WOULD TAKE 4 - 6 WEEKS TO COME IN. WAS TOLD IN JUNE 2021 THAT HE WAS COMING OUT THAT AFTERNOON TO INSTALL, NEVER SHOWED UP AND NEVER CALLED. AFTER MULTIPLE UN-ANSWERED CALLS CAME OUT IN JULY 2021 TO RE=MEASURE AND CONFIRM FABRIC, WAS GOING TO RE-ORDER AND WOULD TAKE 3 WEEKS TO MAKE AND 1 WEEK TO DELIVER. AGAIN AFTER SEVERAL CALLS RECEIVED A CALL IN SEPTEMBER 2021 STATED SHIPMENT WAS DELAYED WOULD BE HERE IN 2 WEEK. DECEMBER ******************************************* INTENSIVE CARE, THE SCREEN HAD COME IN BUT IT WOULD BE AFTER THE FIRST OF THE **** TO BE INSTALLED.HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM NEWCASTLE SCREEN AT THIS TIME, 02-15-2022. AS PHONE CALLS ARE NOT RECEIVED I JUST WANT THE SCREEN TO BE REPLACED AS HAS BEEN PROMISED MULTIPLE TIMES.
