I sent a **** notice to vacate through the online portal and via certified mail related to domestic violence and stalking at my address at ***********************************************************************************************************. 1 sent that notice 10/11/24 to vacate through the **** penal code, California Civil Code ******, to move out and have my released from my lease with no penalty. I would like to file a complaint with *** and speak to a regional or district manager. I will be filing a complaint with HUD and the BBB due to lack of response and not being released penalty free as the penal code dictates.I was also locked about by electronic lock malfunction twice and both times without a phone a or car keys. I had to borrow neighbors phones and the maintenance line refused to assist. The police came and called the apartment themselves to which they also refused to open the door to the police as well. The police called a locksmith and he had to break in and I had to pay for the locksmith and the apartment charged me as well. They did nothing and did not help. I called the office and they said theres a policy to let residents in when locked out but that did not happen I was locked out for 8 hours with my service dog no access to my medicines.I am filing this complaint mainly because I followed **** California code to be release without penalty or anything owed to my apartment due to stalking and domestic violence. They have not responded and it has been ************************************************************* However I sent notice electronically and through certified mail of my **** and supporting documents 10/11/24 for a vacate of 10/25/24.

I lived in this complex from 05/2021-04/2024 just one month shy of 3 years. When I moved out I received an invoice from them saying I owe $3*****, $175 for carpet replacement, 125 for janitorial cleaning, and ***** for paint labor and materials. They are breaking the fair housing laws. I should not have to pay for paint for normal wear and tear if I have lived there for at least 2 years according to the California Tenants rights and responsibilities. I also shouldn't be paying for carpet replacement because it was used carpet when I moved in and aside from wear and tear I did not leave it damaged or stained. Also, I left the apartment cleaner then the condition it was when I moved in there is no need for janitorial cleaning. I also did not receive any receipts for the services that were done on the apartment nor the hourly rate or amount of time that was spent for these services. UDR breaks the law and does not take care of their tenants before, during, or after move out.

On 02/15/2023, I paid $604.16 ($500 deposit and $104.16 lease applications) to hold apartment Y103 at **** Mesa Verde Dr ** **********, ** *****. Following the credit check and submission of financial statement, a lease specialist named "*********" from email address ********************************************** sent me a text message stating that my income was insufficient to rent the place.Upon receiving this determination, I turned around and found another apartment to rent. Once secured the place, I wrote an email to email address ********************************************** stating that I would like to withdraw my application to rent apartment Y103 and request for the deposit of $500 being refunded to me.On 03/08/2023, I received an email from realpage.com stating my final account is completed and refund of $500 in the form of check and that will be sent to me in 2 or 3 weeks. It had passed the 2-3 weeks timeline since 03/08/2023. Until today, 05/19/2023, I haven't received any check of $500 refund. As I moved out of my condo and settled into the rental place, I had rented a ** Box to have mails forwarded to the ** Box. I have been receiving forwarded mails from my old address of ********************************************************************************* at the box on the regular basis.I need help from BBB to have this business refund me the $500 deposit.

During applying for an apartment at 27 Seventy Five, i received notification from the application site, that I was approved for the apartment. My Application was then canceled by the Property Rental Agent via email, *********************. ***** emailed me stating my $500 Security Deposit hold would be returned to me via check within 30 days. Because I was moving, I did not have a secure address to receive the check, so I began a dispute through my bank to help secure my $500. 27 Seventy Five has been holding my refund of $500 for my canceled application, since October 20, 2022 and I have yet to receive a check in the mail as promised to receive within 3 weeks. It has now been 7 weeks since 27 Seventy Five has illegally kept my $500 and claiming to the bank that it is non-refundable. Please help retrieve my money and stop companies like 27 Seventy Five from holding peoples security deposits illegally all in order to gain money ok insurance claims.

On 7/11/22 my *********** applied for a 3-bedroom apartment at 27 Seventy Five Mesa Verde apartments in ********** ** through the management company UDR online service. They required quite a lot of information and paperwork to their application and each person needed to submit pictures of our drivers licenses as well as a picture of our social security card and Guarantors information as well since we are college students. The 24 hour turnaround for all the documents and online application was extremely tight timing, as two of the boys were out of state. The management company doesn't answer the phone & all communication is via text or email only. They were not easy to communicate with & I would call or text 10 times before I finally got someone to respond. They told me that for them to hold the application, I needed to come up to their office (1.5 hours away) & bring a $500 cashiers check as a lease deposit that I would either get back or it would be credited to my rent if we moved forward with the apartment. I got a cashier's check for $864.56 to cover the $500 deposit & all 7 application fees. We dropped off the check at the office & the people there would not let us inside & wouldn't answer any of our questions & told us to continue texting the number we were given. The application we filled out included our ************ were told they only needed one Guarantor on the lease. The parents were not comfortable being a sole ************** asked if we could add two or three. They replied that if we didn't have all items submitted to them by the next morning the rent may increase & since two of the boys lived out of state, it was taking longer to get all information gathered. We sent an email stating we could not get them all information they required in such a short time period and that we would not be able to move forward with the lease. We have asked for our $500 deposit back via phone, text and email and they have completely ignored us. We need help.
