    After reading reviews from others I wish I had read them before engaging this company. My advice, read reviews BEFORE sending a watch and I would say to steer clear of this company. Sent in for a quote, it came back at $9550 for 18K President Day Date ROLEX. It was less than I wanted however it seemed easy and time is a premium for me. I submitted a 2nd watch and did not get a ***ly. Sent a few emails that did not get responses. Finally reached out by phone and was told they were not interested in the 2nd watch. OK, fine, spent a lot of time to get that answer. So now, ready to move forward but suddenly the offer is $500 less than what was first time. They said it was because no box or papers. The original offer said SPECIFICALLY, it was 9550 due to no box and papers. I sent that email back to them stating that box and papers missing was already taken into account. They said they would fix it and sent me a label. I shipped the watch, got an email it arrived and now get beat up on the price. Whatever.. The thing is, the deduction came off the $9050 offer that I was told would be fixed. Spoke on the phone with the *** and she just talked circles around the $500 difference. Said the system made a mistake, manager said nothing they could do. Well before I sent the watch I was told it would get fixed, Now that they have the watch............sneaky if you ask me. I felt trapped, they had the watch, the $500 higher offer was documented but I could not get anywhere explaining it and she just kept talking in circles. In frustration I gave in but had reservations. To be clear, the offer said $9550 because it was missing box and papers. The offer then changed to $9050 because no box and papers. First call, no problem we will fix it. Got the watch and then everything changed. If they are operate without integrity how can I trust the deductions were legitimate? I am no expert but I can smell it when I step in it, and step in it I did.

    Thanks **** for your valuable feedback.  However, there are a few inaccuracies in your review.  Your inquiry came into our system in July.  From July 30th until August 11th, we sent a total of 5 Up To Purchase Offers.  The first 4 offers reflected a price of $9,550 and the last one on August 11th reflected a revised price of $9,050.  All the offers were for a watch with no box or papers.  The reasons for a price change (up or down) is dependent on several factors including but not limited to: ever-changing market conditions, model desirability, inventory fluctuation, etc.  Our system is set up to automatically update and send revised purchase offers to the customer with the updated price regardless of whether it goes up or down.


    Also please note the following per the agreed upon Sellers Terms and Conditions:


    Customer hereby acknowledges and understands that the initial purchase offer estimate from Bobs Watches is a preliminary estimate only based on other similar watches we have bought and sold in the recent past. These market prices are subject to change without notice and we reserve the right to make changes as necessary to reflect market conditions. This offer estimate represents the highest possible price we could pay you for your watch if it is in perfect salable condition, in need of no repairs or services as outlined below. 


    Further:


    Potential deductions from initial purchase estimate include but are not limited to:
    Service and overhaul of movement
    Buff & Polish
    New Crystal
    Missing original box and papers
    Missing links in bracelet
    New leather strap needed, or buckle
    New bezel, new bezel inserts, new dial (face), new end links, etc.
    New crown or tube
    New movement parts
    Rust issues or water damaged items
    Replacement of any parts that are not original Rolex factory

    When we received the watch and it was subsequently evaluated by our internal team.  It was determined to need the following: full service and polish, new crystal, and missing several gold links.  The final offer was $8,000.  Please note that you agreed to the offer freely and consummated it by giving us the information to put it through stolen merchandise check (as required by the **** and provided us payment information (which we sent).  At any point during the process, the customer could have requested the item back without recourse.  Per the previously mentioned Sellers Terms and Conditions:

    Also, it is not uncommon for us to receive inaccurate descriptions or conditions of the watch, missing or wrong model numbers, or wrong serial numbers, etc. These errors or misrepresentations can all greatly affect the final purchase offer.  All watches not purchased will be returned to customers by ***** 2nd day or **** delivery method.


    We can surely understand that you may have valued the watch more than what the market is currently willing to bear, but the transaction was freely completed by both parties and anything on the contrary will be vehemently defended.
