I recently purchased a 40foot HC CW+ grade container with a 5 year waranty for leaks and other covered issued for my personal belingins. The unit arrived and i inatantly pointed out the hard tonoperate latches and doors, then when we opened the container it had a pungent fish oder permiating all through out. As we let it air oit sonwe were able to go inside and inspect, we imedeately noted several dents, damaged sections, nadly rusted area with leaky spots apparent all through out and even has previously caulked/RTV sealed areas where previois leaks wrre already repairsled and failing.I imedeately called and emailed the company with no reaponse. After a few more attempts, the owner **** called me and sugeates i repaired them myself with flex seal and all the other issues were just being picky. I was told to **** water test and i will see there were no leaks but i knew they would fail since we vould see day light tbrough these areas. Well, we did the water test and as suspected, the roof leaks im several spots. I have aince called, texted and emailed for the past week and no response. I ****** a contractor put for an estimate and ***** quoted over ******* to rrmove and replace the comtaminated subfloor and approximately ******* for roof and wall repairs to make wind and water tight.I paid an upgraded charge over ****** for an upgraded container and warranty and it was delivered defective and leaking. Not sure what to do so i am here filing a complaint to get thisnresolved.

I purchased a shipping container from NorCal Containers for $5450. In October 2022. It came with a 5 year warranty against natural caused leaks. The rear end of this 40' Conex box is riddled with rust near the top. I recently had sent photos of the rust to the service manager stating my concern with the rampid rust I now noticed on the back. I was told that it wasn't bad enough for them to do anything about. Well 2 weeks ago while I was rearranging boxes in the rear right corner of the container I noticed a hole ** in the corner that the sun was shining through and streaks left from ***** water running down from the opening. I took more photos inside and out and emailed them to the company email that I had used previously and received NO response at all this time. Digging online I discovered that the service manager named ***************** was no longer employed there. So I emailed the photos to the owner of the company, *******************. Still got no response. I see there's several complaints against them on your website for the same reasons. I'm hoping that something can be done about this company not honoring their warranty...

The customer sent some pictures of a box over a year after they made the purchase complaining of "leaks caused by natural causes" and wanting to cover this under a warranty. The pictures clearly show that the area where the hole is has been scraped and poked. The hole shown in the pictures would not look this way from just sitting for a year. We sell approximately **** boxes a year and have very few problems with leaks. If a leak develops naturally, we can repair it quite easily and can do so under the warranty. However, "natural causes" do not result in a hole like this and when a box is altered by being scraped and poked, the repairs become more difficult and costly and also void the warranty.

I am trying to dispute the charge and my credit card and the credit card company cant even get in touch with them. This company ******* Containers out of Shasta is a scam!! Customer ordered our service to relocate a 40 conex reefer container to be relocated from ********* ** to *****, **. She specified that it was a 40 reefer container and confirmed with us several times. She was quoted our price based on the time and mileage for the round trip. She was sent a confirmation email with the details and the schedule was also verbally confirmed. This was the second time she had ordered this service and the first time she also understood the terms and we were able to haul her container for her as, in that case, she was truthful about the box she needed to be hauled. In this case, our driver drove 6 hours to her location only to find that she was not truthful in her description of the box. It turned out that the box she wanted moved was 48  long and not a conex reefer container. We cannot haul a box of that type or length or even load it onto a trailer. We informed her that she would be responsible for the round trip charges as outlined in the email agreement. We had also charged  her $100 to flip the box direction in order to load it in the opposite direction than what it was facing. We agreed to refund the $100 since we did not need to perform that service. The $100 was refunded to her card on September 16th as we agreed.
We drove all the way to her location and all the way back to our yard (approx. 12 hours) based on her order to move a 40 reefer container. (which she willingly paid for). She has also since tried to claim she did not know what the box was. I am also in possession of the recording she left insisting that she told us it was a 40 container. So, yes, she did in fact insist it was a 40 container she needed to have moved and that is what we were scheduled to do. She has to pay the round trip charges as agreed. While it is unfortunate that she made the error, it was not our mistakeit was her mistake. We have to charge for our time as quoted.
In conclusion, the customer ordered our services and prepaid for us to drive 12 hours with our truck and trailer. We did everything we could do. She was not truthful in the description of the container to be moved and for that reason alone, the container could not be moved. The customer was fully aware that she was obligated to pay the round trip charges (obviously we cannot drive 12 hours for free because of her error). The customer was not truthful in her representation to us regarding the container and she is not being truthful in her complaint here.
NorCal Containers did everything we had been contracted to do. We have been in business for over 10 years and we have thousands of satisfied customers every year.

I am rejecting this response because:             We did agree to a pick up and delivery of a container in August. The said Container was pick up and redelivered, and paid for. No pick up and redelivery happened in Ocotiber.  This so call email he has supplied is to a *************************. That is not me nor my husband. The email that his send it to, is not my email. He can only provide a recording of me agree to the August delivery. I would like to request a copy of the voice recording with a date and time stamp. I would like a copy of a so call emailed that I *************************** responded to, not a ***************************! He cant cause I as *************************** never responded. Unfortunately this will have to be settled in a civil suit.

Bought a container that they said is water and wind tight. Had leaks the first week of owning it when it delivered I checked it and seemed fine until it started raining and snow now I have holes that leak inside the conex box and they sent me flex seal to fix the problem. It's only a temporary fix just want other people to not have the same issue as I did and get a run around just because the company doesn't want to deal with the hassle. In there contract states that if any hole appears they will fix it no questions ask but they sent me a roll of flex seal and spray and said that will work. Just want them to be responsible and except the fact they gave me a bad box and bring me one that doesn't leak with put spend money out of my pocket to fix or get it delivered.

Customer called and stated there was a leak in the box. The owner of the company offered to come out and repair the box or send him a patch kit consisting of Flex-Seal tape and Flex-Seal spray. The customer opted for the patch kit and stated that he would do the repair himself. The customer was also offered the possibilty of replacing the box but he had already painted it and declined to discuss that further.

I am rejecting this response because: they should be sending a welder out and have them patch the holes ******** instead of using a patch kit that is temporary. For the new box, He said I would have to pay for shipping fees to get a new box brought out when it was a 100% there fault for not checking the box before bring it out.
