Simpliphi Power will not honor its warranty for a Lithium Battery that I bought less than one year ago. They claim the battery was installed with an incompatable inverter that voided the warranty. However the facts are as follows: We upgraded our inverter because the system started to work ineffeciently. We did not suspect the battery was the reason because it was essentially new The upgraded inverter was never installed fully. Meaning the battery was not put on a load because it did not work All of this information can be affirmed by a qualified solar installer Simpliphi Power Inc. had us perform a multitude of tests to confirm what we told them initially on October 19, 2021 via e-mail. The battery will charge, but will not hold a charge. Simpliphi instructed us to purchase a special Victron 24V charger to charge the battery to their exact specifications, even though our professional installer had a 24V charger and had already done so. They continued to request more information that in the end provides no proof that their battery was damaged by an inverter that was never fully installed. On December 2, 2021, Simpliphi informed me that the battery would likely not be covered under warranty because of their assumptions. They informed me that I was welcome to ship the battery back to them at a cost of $552.83 and that they would look at it some more. I have paid my installer to run extensive tests, was coerced into purchasing a specific battery charger for almost $200 and spent hours of my time, all to no avail. Simpliphi advertises their batteries as being "simple". What a joke!
