      12/30/21 I have a complaint against the deceptive and egregious practices of BlueVine Business Banking for holds on Travel Related temporary holds for Lodging, Car Rentals, ******** financial institution had no clear policy listed and it's extremely egregious compared to other institutions like them. They have a 60 Day hold and even though the merchant themselves release funds in 5-7 business days, they hold it to profit off the interest. Which may very well be in the fine print but never explained to customers when opening an account. These amounts are significant and it prevents me and my business from having liquidity. As a very small business we cant afford for this policy to be in place BLUEVINE is causing financial hardship on its own customers

      I am rejecting this response because:After wasting my time doing all this complaining Bluevine emailed me

      and ask me for the final **** to proved I had a zero. I submitted proof and funds was released immediately as a supposed 1 time courtesy. 
      So my point is they didnt need to wait a month to satisfy their customer who they obviously could tell was surprised by this policy. So I still advise any small business that wants better service to find another bank Bluevine policy is purely to the benefit of them selves and although there response time is quick the responses are generic at best and do not serve in the best interest of their customers.

      I applied for a business account with BlueVine 5 weeks ago and was approved, I funded the account with a check from one of my customers for $4190.00I had access to the application on my phone, but didnt receive a debit card. I contacted them and they sent another one, it didnt come, contacted them again and they said they only send mail through **** and they dont deliver to P.O. Boxs and that is how I receive mail with ****. At this point it had been at least 2 weeks and there was still a hold on the check and I could no longer get into the application.I contacted them again and they said that the situation was under review and they would get back to me. I told them to close my account and return the check to the bank that it was from. I have another account so I deposited the same check into that account. When I saw the customer that issued the check he asked about the check and wondered why i tried to cash it twice, I explained the situation and he stopped payment on the check. However BlueVine had already cashed it. I contacted them and they asked for verification of my business, I sent them the original paperwork I received when opening my business. They said that their records show my business name as my legal name, not the legal name of my business. They want documentation that states that the name of my business is my legal name. How is that possible? Another question is the check was written to the name of my business, not my name, if they truly had the name of my business wrong then why did they accept the check and cash it. I feel like Im being scammed with no where to turn. Also before I opened the account with BlueVine I checked their ratings with BBB and saw it had an A+ rating. But now since Im having problems I started reading the complaints and see that this is pretty common with this business. 300+ complaints in 3 years and maybe half resolved? That does not tell me its a good business at all.

      I am rejecting this response because: Im not going to be satisfied until my $4,190 that was kept from me is returned and I. My hand.I have been lied too with everyone at BlueVine not one time has anyone there been honest with me. This last time I was contacted I was told a check would be over nighted to me via **** This I was told on Monday and I still yet have to recieve a check. Not to mention all the lost time from working and a returned check fee with my local bank where I had deposit after blue vine said it was on hold and it was not they processed the check right away a d it went through twice and had my customer mad at me and all the embarrassment making me look like Im shady and trying to do my customer wrong. I more then Likely lost this customer.

      and they was my main customer I do 80% of my work there.
        This whole situation has costed me more then the $4,190 check at this point and if I loose this customer that I make 80% of my money with my business will for sure crash. I have spent 2 weeks on the phone being lied too by BlueVine next will be ************* banking commissioner and consumer protection the. To my ***************** and its going to cost way more then. That check they refuse to give back

      I opened a business checking account with BlueVine in September of 2020. Ive never had any issues with them (e.g. no overdrawn account, problematic checks or transfers, etc). Today, without warning, BlueVine closed my account. While this is frustrating, its their prerogative. What I have an issue with, however, is my inability to withdraw, transfer, or otherwise access my funds. I have payments due starting the 2nd of January; I have a perfect payment history with all my vendors and I should not have to have that ruined because BlueVine arbitrarily decided to close my account.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********; Their response is mostly satisfactory to me. I will say that Ivy was quick to respond to my complaint and she did assist me by expediting a check for my business balance at time of closure, and providing me with the all of my statements for the last year. I also appreciated her level of professionalism and civility throughout our interaction.

      The one thing I am not satisfied with is the lack of a proper explanation. Ive worked with many banks and worked as a teller at a bank for some time; in my experience, the banks have always notified customers of issues that required an explanation or perhaps additional documentation. Many banks would allow you to appeal bank closures by filling out an appeal form. I am imploring you to consider doing these things in the future; there is a way to maintain high safety standards without making your clients feel like we are either criminal or otherwise expendable.

       

      That being said, assuming that your check clears without issue, Im sufficiently satisfied to consider this complaint resolved.

      BlueVine closed my account and have not returned the balance in my account. I received an email stating that I would received the balance within 14 days. It has been 46 days since the account was closed. I still haven't received my funds. The solution is simple. They are well beyond the the time they stated it would take and they need to release my funds immediately. I am filing complaints with all agencies who can assist with the matter because BlueVine is not budging and I'm not going to back of. It's a shame that a financial institution would do this to a consumer. It should be illegal.

      I logged into my account to order new checks, they informed me I had already received my free checks and would have to pay for more from a 3rd party- no problem. They decided to void all my previous checks without notifying me in any manner whatsoever. After calling them they told me they cancelled all my checks because I wanted more checks, they did not offer a explanation as why this was done. The only reason I found out about their decision to cancel all my checks was because people I was writing checks to were getting them returned.

      I am rejecting this response because:There is nothing that can be done to remedy the situation caused by Bluevine. The damage was done and my reputation was hurt with my professional contacts who had checks returned due to Bluevines complete negligence. I hope Bluevine learns from this and makes it policy among all employees to not cancel a customers entire checkbook without any reason, and without any notice. I dont have time to try and teach a bank how they should operate; Im to busy trying to clean this mess up.
