  On 6/20/24 I parked my vehicle at 10:55 PM in the * lot of my apartment complex. When I went to my car at 730 AM to go to work I was surprised to see my neighbor pulling out of the parking spot. I asked her when she parked there and she said a little after 11PM. Immediately I thought my car was stolen. I remembered that there is a tow company that comes around to tow cars blocking fire hydrants, red zones and walk ways. My car was not in any of those areas. When I went to pick up my car I explained this to the receptionist but she had no care and said to take it up with management at our apartments. She show me a picture of my car with a tiny no parking written on the ground. I never seen that no parking on the ground before. I feel like this was a predatory practice. They towed my car without putting a warning Sticker. They know they could tow and get a way with it. Because says take up with the tow company and the tow company is telling me to take it up with management at the apartments. And the fact that my neighbor parked in the same spot and didn't get tow makes no sense. They changed $520 for less than 24 hours. CASH ONLY. And they are closed Sunday and Holidays so if you get towed on Saturday you will be paying more. It was a huge inconvenience for me and my family. And I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone. This company is temporarily disrupted peoples lives. Low income working Class, Handicap, Families and elderly people, very shameful. I did bring it to the attention of the apartment management and am waiting to hear back from them. You can see based on the pictures I provided that the "no parking" signage is not clearly visible.

  11/08/2023 this tow company towed my car from a private parking lot without any permission from the owners nor from me saying that they got a call it was abandoned & someone called them to tow it. The *** said they didn't have it towed, the signs at the parking lot state clearly that all cars towed by "Certified Towing" . The owners nor their representatives were present at the time of the tow. There were no tickets or notices on the vehicle what-so-ever. I called this company & said I needed to get my belongings that were inside the ********** first said i had to get a police release but the police said they can't issue one because they did not have it towed. I relayed this to the tow co they then said I'd have to pay $1500.00 to get just my belongings. I said that was illegal & outrageous. I then went down to yard in ************* wouldn't ;et me get my belongings & changed their story saying that a ******* called & said it was abandoned & to come tow it. I don't believe this to be true but regardless the tow was completely illegal as no one representing the owners of the lot were present I wasn't given a notice or ticket that my vehicle will be towed. The amount being charged is ridiculous, and I could see that they had rooted my car taking my personal property . I would like my personal ************* vehicle since it was towed without notice or proper authorization. I would also ask that the tow company be penalized for illegal practices.

  Amount Paid: $640 for an illegal tow Date Paid: July 11, 2023 I, *************************** parked my car at my place of employment. I noticed no rules or signage prohibiting me to do so. I went to pick up my car, when it was gone. I frantically ran around for hours until finally someone was able to tell me that my car was towed, and give me the towing company information. To my horrible surprise, the company was charging $640 to release my car to me. I called the local **************** and they said to report the company- Golden Bay 1 towing directly to code enforcement for not having the proper signs displayed with the towing companies name/contact info. This is VIOLATION of: ********** Vehicle Code section *****. Additionally, my car was scratched all over with a broken front bumper where they must have put hooks. I confirmed this was due to the towing with a mechanic. I want my money back, as this company did an unethical tow.
