I went to get a new set of eyelashes and my old ones removed. I started experiencing discomfort about an hour after I had left the salon. My eyes started swelling and have become red and inflamed as well as very painful. This has never happened before The business is also very misleading in their rates, the service I was having stated In their leaflet as $40+ yet I was charged $139 thats including a charge to pay by cardBusiness response

When ******* came into the salon on November 13th she stated that she wanted to have her lashed removed and new lashes applied. We showed her the prices on our brochure and explained each level, along with showing her pictures that are examples of each level. She decided to go with the Full $120+ lashes and $15 for removal of the old lashes. Our brochure is a summary of all of our services and are explained to each customer when they choose the service they desire. There are so many variations on the many services we have it is impossible to include every option that a customer would want. We have a sign clearly posted at the front desk that there is an additional charge to use a credit card as a form of payment. When we took her back to the room and started the removal of the lashes we noticed that the hygiene of the lashes were not being done and they were extremely soiled. Upon removal she stated that she was never given instruction on how to care for them and keep them healthy from the previous place she had them applied. We have included pictures of the lashes after the removal and after the lashes being applied at *********. After 2 hours of cleaning and applying lashes we then reviewed with the customer the cleaning kit which includes a lash brush along with verbal instructions and demonstration on how to clean the lashes daily to prevent debris and bacteria that can gather on lashes and cause irritation to the eyes. When the service was complete the customer states that she was happy with the lashes and left the salon.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I had previous lashes on that had been on for approximately four weeks I requested the Lashes that on their brochure said $40 plus not anything more expensive I requested the price but she said that she couldnt give me the price because she didnt know how much work she had to do. Before I even entered the establishment for the appointment she told me in front of two witnesses that it was going to take two hours.
My eyes werent completely soiled and theyre have been no hygiene problems previous to any lash service I have received and Ive been receiving Lashes for over five years. Since going to establishment I have continued to experience discomfort, and pain, as well as my skin is still irritated
