June 2, 2024 paid $1291 for tax preparation services. In late July reached out to company to check status of tax refund and no response. Few weeks later they responded back advising my file was not actually submitted. It is now been a month since then of them attempting to finalize and resubmit. The what was completed file. They are unresponsive to my calls and emails and occasionally respond that back via text every other week or so. More or less I paid $1300 for tax services and my taxes have not been done and communication has since stopped from them with them siding personal issues. Being the reason they cannot finalize this task for the last two months.

This is the first notice that I received on this complaint. Mr ******** was e-filed on September 10th before the filing deadline. We were waiting on additional information which he provided to us in September. Yes my daughter, who was the one preparing his taxes, had personal issues as her husband is dying of cancer and is declining fast so we were in and out of the office. I took over his file from my daughter. I have text messages that I have with Mr ******** which he was happy with getting his taxes finished. I apologized to him and he accepted my apology for the delay in communication. He must have put this complaint in prior to me taking over his file. I learned later that Mr ******** put a dispute on his credit card and his credit card company took the money away from our company. I don't know what else to do but just move forward and do better with communication next time. We will not be accepting Mr ******** back with our company. Thank you for your time.
