I do NOT reccomend this facility to anyone. They LIED to us on day 26 saying our insurance would no longer cover his care there. They gave us 3 days before they wanted him gone and kept harassing us to buy him a plane ticket home. and when we called our insurance to fight for them to continue to cover our son's continued treatment there they said AMFM had not requested another months care and there was nothing in their files saying they would not cover another month of treatment. They LIED to my son who was admitted into their care that he was ready to discharge after only 26 days of care. My husband and I could clearly see they were wrong about discharging him as he was drawing pictures of illegal substances that made him happy during family counseling session. I pleaded with them that if they didn't want to keep him to let him go to another residential facility. My husband took 2 days off work and made hours worth of phone calls to other residential treatment facilities and found one that would take him, but they had already put it into his head he was ready to come home. Now we are a week into our son's return home and he is already turning back to illegal substances. Only now, its worse. He is taking 3 prescription medications on top of the illegal substances. I could not be more upset and disappointed with this facility. It was SO HARD getting my son in there and flying him to ** from ** only to be left holding the bag after only 26 days of care.

My encounter with Mission for Michael mental health services fell far short of expectations. Their primary focus is monetary gain rather than fostering mental wellness. The exorbitant fees charged for their services didn't correlate with the level of care provided.Moreover, staff's lack of empathy and training at Beacon House made it a challenging environment to seek help and heal. They were detached and disinterested in understanding the complexities of mental health struggles. Instead of fostering a supportive atmosphere, their indifferent approach left me feeling isolated and overlooked. House managers were exercising their power over us weak, feeding their egos so they can feel better about themselves. Unfortunately, there are too many things that this institution failed to provide that I can write for days.Due to the awful experience, emotional abuse, and my symptoms worsening, I decided to leave after 4 days. During my discharge process I was advised and given a phone number to complain to ***********************- Program Director and billing department since the discharge manager agreed that the way I was treated was unacceptable. Not only did they display a blatant lack of empathy in person, but their negligence extended to their phone lines. Multiple attempts to reach out for assistance went unanswered and until this day ******* never called me back or somebody from the billing department.I did make a good decision by leaving. After just 2 weeks being out of the Mission for Michael facility, my condition improved, and now, 2 months later with a help of psychiatrist I found after I left, I am back to normal and anxiety free.I recommend you go elsewhere for your mental care needs and don't waste tons of money here. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY. While in a mental health crisis, I was lured to this facility under false pretenses. Due to the nature of my trauma I expressed I could ONLY work with female clinicians and I was promised via phone call, text, and official documents from the facility that I would only have a female doctor. This was a bold face lie.When I arrived, I was told I would be meeting with ****************************************************** via video chat and that I could not meet with a female doctor or have a female clinician present. I had an extreme panic attack. ******************** refused treatment unless I "apologized for my behavior." A psychiatrist demanding an apology from a patient who had a panic attack is INSANE, cruel, and unprofessional. Furthermore, ******************** immediately signed discharge papers and alerted all staff to withhold any and all medication from me - medication that I desperately needed. Clinical director ******************************************** enabled ******************** appalling behavior.Furthermore, upon my arrival I was forced to sign contracts under duress and was not allowed to read them prior to signing (directly pressured by admissions coordinator ********************************* and indirectly by *********************** - Lead Program Director and personal friend of ********************).An employee from A Mission for Michael who was witness to some of the events filed a complaint as a mandated reporter. She was asked to attend with *********************** (**** Program Director), ************************* (a program director), a program manager named ****, and an HR representative named *******************. In this meeting, she was belittled to the point of tears and her job was threatened because she had done the right thing to stand of for her patient. The **** culture is toxic and unsafe for any patient and many of the staff members. My short time at this facility cause irreparable harm to my mental health.

Our daughter had a mental crisis and ended up in ER, we were recommended to AMFM, and we were trusting a professional program, day one they were disorganized and inconsistent with their promises, putting the icing on the cake when she met with her doctor, she was told that she was making it up. This a dangerous place to put a loved one in for medical help.
