We are a General contractor looking for workers compensation insurance for our construction company . We talked with ***** ***** the representative for Rock 10 insurance to obtain quotes for our workers compensation insurance needs . He asked us for a previous quote from another insurance company and we sent this to him, He obtained a quote that we thought was accurate until the insurance company did an audit . The insurance company ended up charging our company almost three times the amount of the original quote since the reported income was more than he had quoted .But that was not the only problem he failed to get an accurate estimate of wages from our payroll . We usually obtain this from *** our payroll processor when they ask for it . He never did ask for it or due his due diligence as a insurance broker to obtain accurate payroll information . I was quoted around $10,000 for the insurance policy and after the audit they are charging me $27,000 . I contacted Rock 10 insurance and they replied that it was my responsibility as I signed the contract . I hired an insurance broker to represent our company in obtaining insurance quotes and they have a fiduciary duty to present to the customer an honest and accurate quote. . I have filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner and they are investigating them . Do not use them for insurance if you want an accurate quote .

This client has carried a Workers Comp Insurance policy since 2016 (per the ****** The client is aware that the Workers Comp policy purchased through Rock 10 Insurance was auditable. Meaning at the end of the policy term the Workers Comp policy would be audited. This information was fully disclosed in the paperwork the client signed to activate the policy. In the audit the insurance carrier would be reviewing the actual payroll generated during the policy term versus what the client had estimated when the policy started. In the event the actual payroll generated during the policy term was more than what they had estimated, the client would owe additional money to the carrier. In the event the client generated less payroll than what they had estimated, the carrier would provide a premium refund. With an audit the client ultimately pays the correct premium based on the actual payroll generated during the policy term. In the policy term mentioned in the customers review, the client generated more payroll during the policy term than what they had estimated when the policy started. Due to the client generating more payroll during the policy term than what they had estimated when the policy started led to an increase in premium owed on the policy. Rock 10 Insurance did provide the client with an honest and accurate quote. At the inception of the policy the client did sign documents accepting the terms and conditions of the policy (acknowledging that the policy was auditable). The client signed all pages of the quote and disclosure documents. Rock 10 Insurance has yet to receive any complaint documents from the California Department of Insurance. In the event that we do receive a request for documents we are prepared to submit any appropriate rebuttals for any complaints levied, which will be supported by documentation signed by the client.
