If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We signed up for a 3 year program, paying over $900 a month - we took the higher payment plan, so we could get finished in 3 years instead of 4. The guy assured us we would probably get done in 2 or 2.5 years making that big of a payment. We had ***** creditors/accounts, that we turned over to them. After 3 years and over $40,000 of payments, I think they paid off 4, maybe 5. They tried to get us to extend for another year - we told them no, then they asked for another 6 months, and we told them no...and then they pretty much ghosted us after that. They never settled with another client, didn't respond to emails or calls, and there answer was always "we're trying to settle as many of these accounts as we can"....but they didn't do any more. In the end, we'd have been better off just paying these accounts ourselves & taking the offers they sent us, to pay 1/2 or sometimes less of the debt we owed. We would've saved ************* and our credit got destroyed anyway, since Inland debt told us not to talk to the creditors, because they were handling everything. Also we've been sued at least 3-4 times by different creditors, while in this ********** seems like the just want to collect the $ from you every month & put it into some sort of account which I'm sure is drawing interest for them, and make money off of your money while they do very little to help you get out of debt.We made our last payment a week or so ago - but I notice they still have a creditor showing that they'll be paying off for us, for another 6 months - even though there's enough money in our "reserve" account to pay them off completely now....further proof that they just want the money in there for as long as possible because they're making $ off of it somehow.Customer service wasn't great either, they promise you the world, but once you've signed up, they don't seem to try very hard to help.I would NEVER do business with them again.Review from Michelle C

Do not use this company! This company is more interested in getting your money than helping you. They will call and say we need you to send in more money to make a settlement. This company is a total scam! I have been to court 3 times and am having to try to keep from having my wages garnished. If I had all the money they took from me, I would have the accounts already paid off. Debt relief? Ha! If I could give them negative stars I would.Inland Debt Management Response

We warn clients that their is a chance they will get a lawsuit during the program. VERY rarely (maybe 1 out of 200) clients gets more than one lawsuit during the program. We are doing everything we can to help this client. Their payments are less than half of what they were paying prior to joining our program. We can still resolve these lawsuits and help them become debt free.Review from Reuben M

This company is a straight rip off. I end up paying ****** to them. $620 a month for 2 years to resolve 2 debts. Now my checks are being garnished. The money I paid them it could went to the debt. They only settle one debt for about ***** and pocket the other money for fees and etc. one of the worst things Ive done. You have to call them. They dont call you. For me. They agreed to pay off a debt, paid them one time and then stop, only to ask me to pay more money every month. They promise me my credit will go up and all. Please dont do it. Also. They never have any records of paper work. I requested paper work and the deals they suppose to had in order. Never got any paper work. The female who was helping me at first, somehow doesnt work for them anymore. They had settle my debt, supposedly, then I get a garnishment letter in the mail. They said the lady doesnt work there anymore. If I wouldnt have gotten the letter , I would have thought my debt was handle. It wasnt. I closed the account. Im out of $11,000 that could have went to the debt. They promise a lot. They dont communicate well. So if they say they tried to work with me. Its a lie. Because no one had a clue what was going on. Matter of fact, the guy supervisors hung the phone up on me. Admitted he was new and didnt know what was goin on.Inland Debt Management Response

We did everything we could for this client. We offered to resolve any/all of his accounts. He constantly got upset and then didn't want us to work on his accounts any longer. We had at least 4-5 of our **************** reps and managers try to work everything out for him, but he refused. We would still be willing to help him out, but he refuses to contact us.Review from Beverly J

Inland Debt has been awesome for my husband and I. We have been in just over 2 years of a 3 year program. They have settled several of our debts and we only have two left to go. They live answer whenever we call and our credit is starting to improve now also. We would highly recommend Inland Debt to anyone that needs help with their debt.Inland Debt Management Response

We have no idea what this person is talking about? We don't spam call anyone! Never have and never will. If they have proof of this, contact our office and we will be happy to address their issue. They must be mistaking us for another company.Review from Anthony S

We talked with this client many times about resolving his account with us. We tried to work something out including refunding him money etc. He stopped talking to us and won't pick up the phone and/or return our calls. It's impossible to communicate with someone if they won't talk to us? Please call us and we will be happy to work something out with you.Review from John L.

If the *** and a skeezy car salesman with a prison record had a lovechild , it would be Inland Debt Management . Inland Debt Management is a textbook " predatory " business .Reliant ( *** ) is a third party " trust " business that IDM used to hold the funds that were drawn from my bank account .Reliant personnel are honest and easy to work with . Initially , I mistakenly believed that IDM's function was a " debt management " organization rather than a " debt settlement " business . It is critical to understand the difference and I did not at that time . IDM advised me to cease all communication with my creditors , which I did . About 4 months in , I received notices from my creditors asking why I have stopped paying them . When I called IDM , the call quickly escalated into an argument . All I got was a ridiculous hard sell " recap " of what they were going to do for me , although the person I argued with DID after several demands finally clarify to me their function as a " debt settlement " business . I was not okay with this , but decided since I was 4 months in I might as well stay the course . I do not believe IDM has ever generated ANY correspondence to my creditors to let them know what was going on . 6 months in I receive a statement from *** showing that IDM has taken approximately ******* in " management " fees . IDM up to this point has literally done NOTHING on my behalf other than initiate the *** account and yet they charged me thousands of dollars . Two weeks ago I requested a full reimbursement of my funds and as of March 20, 2022 they have not complied . I don't expect that they will .I have terminated my agreement with IDM and have contacted an attorney to resolve this .Inland Debt Management Response

This client had two accounts to be settled by our company and signed up for a 48 month program. Every client has to save enough money to resolve their accounts that they enroll. We estimated IN WRITING that his first account would be resolved in approximately 18 months. He has only been in for 10 months and he expects/expected miracles? If he has additional money to resolve those accounts now, we could resolve both of them and he could be done now at month 10. All of these issues were explained to him in writing and verbally also. We tried to talk with him about this on March 1 when he called in. We were trying to rectify his complaints and he just kept interrupting, was combative, yelling and hung up on us. We have called him at least 5-6 times and e-mailed him since then to have him call back in to resolve this matter amicably and he won't contact us back. We have every intention of making him happy, but he has to contact us back so we can come to a reasonable resolution.Customer Response

Predictably , the person from Inland Debt Management providing this response to my initial complaint completely avoided addressing the crux of my complaint which IS that some one at Inland Debt Management took *******+ in " management " fees from the escrow account in my name . This is exactly what the people at IDM do when you call to question what they are doing . They go right into the " fast talk " sales pitch about what they are going to do for you ad nauseam and will talk over you or deflect when you question what they are doing or not doing . It's ridiculous . In any case , after consulting with an attorney , it was concluded that it would cost more to file a civil complaint against these predatory business owners than the *******+ that they stole from me . I will not respond to any further comments from IDM , however I will continue to file complaints against and warnings about IDM whenever the opportunity presents itself . To anyone reading this , I suggest you take note of IDM's name , as it is misleading . When I first signed on with IDM , I idiotically believed that they were an actual " debt management " business .And no one at IDM offered to clarify their function to me to insure that I understood what I was signing on for . IDM DOES NOT " manage " your debt . IDM compels YOU to cease communication with your creditors and to stop paying them , ultimately destroying your relationship with your creditors . IDM requires YOU to destroy your credit rating while they sit back and take thousands of dollars of your money for doing absolutely nothing while leaving YOU on the hook to face any civil actions brought against you by your creditors . Finally , the owner of this clownshow called IDM offered to refund me a ******* as long as I sign a " release " . What a joke . I'll get my *******+ refunded by way of comments and warnings about IDM's predatory practices posted on social media . Sincerely , ***********************Review from Mk A.

I am only giving them one start because zero was not an option. Recently, I received a noticed from the third party account holder, Reliant with my statement balance. I have paid $3,820.77 with them, however, 75% of my payments (or $2,855.12) went to their fees over the past year. Mind you, their fees could have covered the cost of negotiating one account. My actual RAM account only has $803.30 Guess what? I am now being sued by a company and Inland Debt Mgt has no solution. When I asked for my money back, I am told they don't think that will happen. While I vow to fight this predatory practice, I highly advise against using these accounts. Calling does not help AT ALL!Inland Debt Management Response

We immediately contacted this client to explain everything A-Z. Our **************** manager was able to discuss everything about the program and what was happening on his accounts. He fully understands everything now and intends to stay in the program and save $1000's of dollars in the process.Customer Response

I did receive a phone call from their customer service manager. However, I have sent new documents, with follow up emails to no avail. Their response sounded good but its all baloney. Definitely going to fight to get my money back from this company so I can properly deal with my debt.
