The whistle app does not work as it should. Service stop after 2 weeks of updated contract and yearly cost applied. Additionally I canceled service on the app. Did not receive an update from them, so a couple days later I contacted them only to find the service was still being charged for and not refunded. They will NOT refund any money during the period of time there was no service. When I asked to file a complaint the rep only wanted to argue with me instead of taking the complaint.Review from Matthew R

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. They do NOT stand behind their products. They FAIL in under a year and they will only honor the warranty within 6 months! $150 for a product that will STOP TRACKING YOUR PET or give you some type of issue. Sure they replace it IF you device stops within that time but will only honor up to 6 months total. Good luck if you replace it and it fails within 3 to 6 months months of that time. They will only replace it AGAIN IF its NOT past the 3 months! SO far weve spent over $500 on a tracker that has only worked about 6 months total in over the year weve had it. Were just expected to eat the cost I guess and just buy a new one?!! **************** absolutely zero help as they have lowered their standards for honoring replacement. Don't Buy the company don't stand behind one year warranty devices are defective they don't last the one year they are different to deal with I purchased new devfor my dogs in January had 2 problems both factory defect customers service has gone down hill too big time I had been whistle customers since 2018 because of the device problems customers service supervisor decided too remove remaining 9 months of warranty off all device and cancel my subscription renewal if they replaced faulty device this is wrong its not my fault devices are factory defective I just purchased these devices their customer service has gone down hill devices are defective and there blaming customersReview from Erica D

Do not buy!! Device is faulty and company is predatory! The unit we bought is designed for the *** module to twist into the collar, locking in with plastic teeth. The bracket it locks into is metal. Our first unit, the teeth broke off when twisting it as designed. This happened the first time we went to remove it. As the battery lasts a month, it was the first time we had to charge it a month later. Guess how long you have to return it for a refund. 30 days. They then offered to replace it as we had no way to attach it to the collar to make it usable. Got the replacement. The first time we go to twist it off as designed, the plastic tooth breaks off the exact same way. Called the company hoping for a reasonable solution. Unfortunately I was hoping in vane. **************** rep tried to blame it on faulty plastics, even though we recently purchased and had just replaced. They suggested we purchase their new collar as they had redesigned it to work around the faulty design of the previous, but at full price of course of over one hundred dollars. I tried to be reasonable and ask for a credit off of the new design, and they said the best they could do was a $26 credit towards the subscription. So basically I can keep asking them to send me replacements every time I go to charge it until the 1 year warranty from the original purchase date is up, then it will most likely be unusable.Review from Jim S

On October 28, 2022, I purchased a replacement Whistle GPS. It is November 7, 2022, and the device has yet to ship, and the Whistle representative can't tell me when or if it will ship. I have called Whistle on four occasions, and no one knows anything. They won't allow me to cancel the order, so I fill have to dispute the charge with ***************** Obviously, I'm very disappointed with the customer service on this matter. I like the device and have been a Whistle customer since 2013.Review from Gaby L

Pretty horrible device and software. I highly discourage you from giving them your money. I never write these but it's quite bad. They advertise "behavior analytics". I have had whistle for two years on my dog and those have still not been shown even though I pay for the highest plan they offer. I'm finally done with my subscription this June and will pivot anyone thinking of purchasing. The *** doesn't really work as advertised either. I'm in a city and it still gets spotty reception.Whistle Labs Response

I have two whistle units for my two dogs. The first unit is an older unit and the second, I purchased in 2020. The subscriptions for both are not coordinated and Whistle renewed one subscription last on 6/21 and the other on 10/21 both to "renew" this year. I was not aware of the shut down of 3G until the end, called Whistle and they offered me a discount on a new unit. I decided that spending yet another 200 dollars on two units is not attainable with this economy. With that said, I canceled both subscriptions. Usually, when subscriptions are canceled, you are refunded the balance of what is not used. For example, I canceled XM, and I was refunded the unused membership that I paid upfront. I see that Whistle is not refunding me or anyone else their unused portion of their service. I am owed ***** for two dogs. That is meaningful dollars in this economy, to say the least. I have observed that Whistle is blaming the change over to the cell companies and placing the monetary "oh well" on us. We should be forced to purchase a new unit and with that said, I find that Whistle should be making refunds to all people in this situation. I also see on this thread, that Whistle states that it is unattainable to provide updated units to people but it is also unattainable for someone to be paying for a service that is not available.Review from Angela S

DO NOT BUY! Would give zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service and device does not work as advertised. It took them over 5 months to send the device I ordered. When I finally got the device it would not sync. Tried to get customer support through the first two reps that I spoke to refused to answer my questions and I think they had the wrong account pulled up since they were talking about me calling in and working with another rep, which I never did. I asked that they verify the account was mind, they started yelling at me and refused. First two reps refused to do any troubleshooting and offered to send a different device. I called in and spoke to a rep that appologised for what the other two reps did and helped me. All that needed to be done was a hard reset of the device. Took less than 5 minutes. I was on chat with the other reps for over 2 hours when it could have taken 5 minutes. Horrible!Today my pet didn't wear the device for about 8 hours (the device was on the dinning room table) but the device said that she had several hours of activity during that time. Now a rep is sending me harassment emails. I have asked them to stop but they keep emailing me.Review from Melissa W

Don't give them your card unless you want to pay for years after you've canceled. Devices don't work. They get lost and you can't track them to their location. Then you're stuck with the subscription and they make it impossible to cancel. Just realized they have charged my card for years, long after I emailed them to cancel because we had no functioning devices.
