Date of Transaction: 10/5/2024 Came for happy hour at night on a Saturday. The food and overall service were great, but the taxes charged on the receipt at the end were incredibly incorrect and deceptive. The photo shows our receipt for the meal. The subtotal of all our items not including the ** Mandate is $149. Now there are several things wrong with this receipt.1) The ** mandate was included as an item in the subtotal, which means the fee was taxed again in the total.2) The ** mandate was listed as a 6% charge, however, 6% of $149 should have been $8.94 and not $10.25. The actual amount charged for the ** mandate was 6.88%.3) We were charged ******% for sales tax, which is way higher than what the sales tax rate in ************* should be (*****%). Not to mention, this is considering that we were taxed ******% INCLUDING the overcharged mandate fee. If we applied the sales tax as a percentage to items we ordered, it would be ******%. I tipped $18 to the waiters despite the incorrect tax amounts because I didn't want to penalize the employees for the business's shortcomings.Not sure if there are any legal issues with restaurant owners billing an incorrect tax amount. A review has been submitted for the restaurant on Yelp. Have not had contact with the owner yet so no settlement or resolution has been provided.Initial Complaint

I dined here and left a cash tip, but the restaurant fraudulently entered a 20% gratuity on my credit card anyways. The $35.42 tip must be refunded.
