5/11/2022 I emailed & called Gil's upholstery. My father died on 4/17/2022 I got an estimate for *** to stain and refinish my fathers rocking chair in the amount of $550.00. He told me he would send me an estimate for the dresser and he never did. On June 3rd 2022 *** picked up my fathers dresser, mirror and rocking chair. I emailed him many times asking him for an estimate. The nature of the dispute is that it has been almost 6 months and the work is not done, I have not received an estimate I have called and emailed him multiple times and he does not respond. I called him and he picked up the phone and was yelling at me that he was busy that a employee quit and that he would have the work done with in a few days that was 10/21/2022. He said he would check in with me on Saturday 11/5/22 and he did not so I drove to his shop and it was closed I sent him a phone text message, I called him and I sent him a email. No response. I commented on his yelp no response. https://www.yelp.com/biz/gils-upholstery-*************-2?osq=gil%27s+upolstery However, he has reviews on yelp since June of how great he is and other people getting there furniture done and he updates his profile photos etcetera. So basically, he's ignoring me. He doesn't respect me. I am grieving and I am a single woman who really needs my fathers things back. I don't know what to do I feel helpless, disrespected and ignored.
