I filled an online request about a pick up for a client from ** to ** and syndicates called *******/**** ****** from ************************ reached out to me to handle the pick up of a car. They asked to charge a deposit of $250 on my card and balance upon delivery. Then when the driver got there to pick up the car, I received a call that I needed to send Venmo of $300 else driver who I was told was named ***********, but that isn't the actual name. Driver also gave another name '******** with #************'. Fast forward to the day of delivery a call was made to the recipient of the shipment/car that an additional amount of $250 was needed before delivery will be conducted. They then send another invoice asking for it to be signed which has different figures showing! This company is NOT forth-coming as I was unfortunate not to have read reviews about them before venturing them to handle this particular shipment. I have contacted my attorneys and if there is any single damage to the shipment or anymore funny business before delivery they will go down, a major class action suit will be waiting for them. I will add more proofs or send more updates in due time.Initial Complaint

This company took $550 from me to ship my car from ** to **. They said they would pick up the car on 7/10 and did not. I followed up with the company for weeks and they did not respond, so I got a new company to ship my car. In early August I told US Shipmate I needed a full refund, they told me yes but to wait 2-3 business days for that to happen. After waiting I did not see a refund so I called - but they did not answer or return my calls. I finally found a new number which I called - but was told if I called back again they would NOT give me a refund. I asked how that can be appropriate since the only reason I am calling is to follow up on a refund I was already told I would get? They said to just wait and itll come. Its now 2 months later and I am about to sue this company for a refund however, they say their driver has the money and they have to wait to get it from him. But whenever I ask for an update I either dont get a response or after emailing several times am told to keep waiting. Its clear to me this company is operating a scam and is actively withholding my money, this is theft.Initial Complaint

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND PERSON SCAMMING MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE ************************************** ***** aka *************************** (*****) **************************** ****************************** ************ USDOT# ******* MC-************ ********************************** Fareeha (Davin?) Swindled me into a $150 partial payment on a shipping quote of $900 for an enclosed trailer to haul my vehicle from point A to B. I was convinced to make a Zelle payment from my bank account. When I contacted ***** to confirm a driver had accepted my order, ***** replied "Yes, you are all set." I later found out this company takes advantage of customers routinely. Taking money for auto shipping that they know is unlikely to be filled for the prices they quote. As pickup date neared, attempts to contact ***** by phone and email went unanswered.Forced to contact a legitimate shipper to arrange shipment for my vehicle.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted the company at the number provided and was told a driver was retained for the tow and that the driver would call me to arrange pickup time. No such call ever came in. I have been forced to rent a truck and trailer to drive the vehicle home myself. Cancel my return flight, check out of hotel early, return rental car early. All at considerable addition expense.Please refund my deposit. Your company policies are crooked, and your BBB rating serves as evidence.
My next step is to contact the secretary of state and my attorney.

Watch out this is clearly a scam company I paid this guys $550 thru ***** first they asked for $300 on May 22 that 2 days later asked for $250 more to secure a spot for a motorcycle I was going to ship from ********* to Los Angeles bike was supposed to get picked up on August 2nd I tried reaching them days before to see if everything was on track they were skeptical with the emails they answered I have a signed contract with them as I assume everyone else has they did not show up did not call no emails nothing this company is the worst shipping company Ive ever seen I had to look for a local company in ********* that was willing to help me with me shipping needs since I was flying out in August 3 from ****** To the rest of the people that had the same problem we should talk to a lawyer and make a collective lawsuit against this company so they stop getting away with thisBusiness response

US Shipmate LLC demanded $175. Deposit to ship my Jeep. They never performed the service and the contract signed states the deposit is refundable. They refuse to return my money. They tried to charge twice the amount quoted and said the driver couldnt come. They lied and are deceitful and I want my $175 deposit refunded as stated in their contract.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: USShipmate sent an email over 5 days ago saying they were working on the refund and I was a top priority. Still no refund if the $175 and they stopped communicating since the day they received your complaint on my behalf.they are still being deceitful and have stolen my deposit !

Refunds are mostly processed through carriers. Because once a customer has paid those deposits they are directly sent out to carriers to book their spots. US Shipmate acts as a shipping advocate for all customers and does not hold the right to hold any payments.Initial Complaint

I arranged for shipment of my car from *********, **, to ******, **, and received a contract on 5/11/2024, for $900. I was promised that the price would be firm. I paid $250 down and was to pay $650 COD. (I have that contract.) On the day before the car was to be picked up (6/8/2024), I received a call that "the driver had problems with his truck, but no problem, another driver was found." There would be an additional charge, $100 + now $1100 on delivery, totaling $1450. I was preparing to move, so I had to agree. The car was picked up in ********* and transported to ************ on 6/10/2024. Then, while I was driving cross county, I received a call on 6/11/2024, from a driver (*****) and the dispatcher (*****) that I had to pay for "delivery clearance papers" from the US ***** of ************** in the amount of $450 or the car could not be picked up for shipping in ************. (I have a suspicious piece of paper claiming to be from the US ***** of **************, perhaps a case of fraudulent government paper.) I had to approve immediately or "the car can't be loaded onto the truck" so I did. Now the cost is $1900. Finally, two days later on 6/13/2024, I receive a call that the driver requires an additional $300 or he won't load the car. I have another contract now totally $2200. I agreed to the additional charge, feeling the entire time that my car was being "held hostage" while I was already halfway across the country. The car was delivered to my house on 6/15/2024 (3 days before the agreed date). I Zelled the $1100 COD and received the keys. So the cost of shipping went from $900 to $2200, each time with a new excuse. I felt I had no option but to agree. Until it was delivered, I feared I might never see my car.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: The broker promised each time that there would be no additional fees. Indeed, he promised AT THE BEGINNING that the $900 was the firm price. Your description of the uncertainty of the costs does not reflect the (false) statements of the broker.Furthermore, the so-called "delivery clearance" fee is based on a completely specious looking (and I suspect fraudulent) document supposedly from the US ********** of *************** We are already pursuing action with the Federal ********** of ************** and have shared that document with them. If they judge that you have committed fraud, you are likely to lose your shipping license.
Your explanation is completely unsatisfactory and is a boilerplate response. If there weren't a series of similar complaints on the BBB website, I might accept your argument. But you have not addressed the deep frustration that comes to a customer when I received multiple calls from the broker as I drove cross country telling me each time that there were additional fees.
Any legitimate business would apologize for the misrepresented price and cover the unexpected increases. The fact that you don't do so indicates to me that these increases are in fact part of your business plan. In plain English, that's called a "scam."
As I said, we are pursuing action at the ********** and Federal level since you are clearly not ready to address our concerns. The consequences may be more serious for you in the long run. In light of the actions we are simultaneously pursuing, you should return the $1300 you overcharged us now.

- June 7, 2024 - $1600.00 - The business (Auto transport) committed to shipping my car for $1400. Then the truck "broke down" and they demanded $300 to have another drive pick it up for transport. Otherwise, my car would be unloaded and put into a storage facility at my cost. - They gave me 30 minutes to decide on paying an extra 2k to store my car and wait 8 -10 days OR I pay an additional $300 now. - They are holding my car hostage and keep charging me fees. Even after the broker PROMISED there would be no more additional costs via email yesterday (attached). - The business has not tried to solve my problem as they are holding my car hostage.
