I paid nearly $900 to SLOCO for a fat reduction treatment called cavitation. This treatment was not described, advertised, or marketed to me as a “just for fun” experience like many of this spa’s offerings, such as cryotherapy that “may” have benefits. The treatment was completely ineffective despite promises the employees made to me during the consultation. The business did not attempt to document results with photos, telling me only midway through the treatments that “photos never show anything.” I attempted to call a halt midway through to the treatments and get a refund, but the owner has refused. She has offered “solutions” such as credits for massages and other services offering dubious results in which I have no interest. I’ve been had.Business response

I'm genuinely sorry that you feel this way, C***. We truly care about our guest's satisfaction, however we do have a section in our intake form completed by each guest that clearly states that we do not offer refunds. We can provide the service, but it is up to each individual to do the work outside of the treatment to help their body process the released fat. And while clinical trials have shown that this technology does work on 99% of individuals, sometimes underlying health conditions or a person's set-point can impact results. UltraSlim is FDA Cleared for immediate fat loss, relief from pain and inflammation, as well as skin rejuvenation using technology referred to as photobiomodulation. We aim to offer a more affordable and non-invasive alternative to treatments like liposuction and CoolSculpting which comes at a much steeper price. We have thousands of guests who love our services and we hear amazing stories daily about their improved health and wellbeing from their visits to Sloco. We understand that we're not for everyone, so we hope you find a solution that will help you reach your goals.

I am rejecting this response because: although you claim to care about your customers’ results and satisfaction, you still refuse to make this situation right. I did “my part” in between these and during these treatments: I consumed no alcohol, I wore a compression belt, and I maintained a caloric deficit for two straight weeks. The FDA approves lots of things for lots of reasons, but this procedure is not effective in any way. This is a ‘salt rub’ just for the experience. It’s touted and sold as a medical procedure as you describe. The problem is it doesn’t work. Since I am in no way interested in any other service your business provides, I think it’s only reasonable that you refund my money.
