MAS financial is retaliating with harassing phone calls. The last statement by them was LIbel in that they stated that i refuse to insure my car which is an outright lie and designed to make me look bad. I want restitution for that. They call me again and make threats that the phone call is recorded and demand my attorneys name which i do not have to give. We are never more than two weeks late on our payments, we satisfy our burden by paying their late fees and again its never more than a month late. I am tired of hearing from these people sometimes as much as twice a week. Respondent says that phone calls are recorded and id like copies of such recordings. They are demeaning and harassing and i want it to stop before i take legal action. Anything from MAs financial from this point out will be viewed as retaliation per attorney.Initial Complaint

This business harasses me all day every day and every month. I am being told I owe ****** from ******************* and ****** From *******************. They are accusing me of being 3 months behind on my car payment loan and I have proof that I have been making my payments. I feel this company is involved in some type of scheme or scandal where they are stealing the money from customers and falsely accusing that they are not getting the payments. Please help me with this company. My last payment sent was in March 7th 2024 in the amount of ****** and March 12, 2024 in the amount of ****** . My next payment is due April 15th 2024. They are accusing me of not paying Jan, Feb, or March payments . I paid February payment in March. I only owe ****** Again they do this all the time. The harassment never stops.Initial Complaint

Dear Mas Financial,I am writing to dispute the alleged debt currently being pursued by your organization, which was purportedly acquired from Mas Financial. It has come to my attention that this debt is subject to the arbitration agreement outlined in the *** Communication agreement, to which I am a party.I am aware that initiating arbitration involves significant costs, and given that your organization likely acquired this debt for pennies on the dollar, I am offering you an opportunity to settle this matter amicably before pursuing legal action. I propose a settlement amount of $6,000, which accounts for the mental distress, anxiety, emotional distress, and financial hardship that this situation has caused me.Furthermore, as part of the settlement agreement, I insist on the following:Payment of $6,000 as compensation for the aforementioned distress and hardship.Removal of any reporting of this debt from all credit reporting agencies.This settlement offer is contingent upon your prompt response and compliance within [reasonable timeframe, e.g., 30 days] from the date of this notice.In accordance with 15 USC 1692c(c), I demand that you cease and desist from all illegal activities and mediums of communication regarding this debt, including any communication on a consumer report, except for your response via mail with a settlement check or a letter notifying me of the deletion of the account from my consumer report.Should you choose not to accept this settlement, I want to make it clear that I am fully prepared to initiate arbitration proceedings. This is for Planet Fitness in ******* **. I did not know there was a fee for late payment. And also I did not know there was a payment of $49 to be paid. I did not see any of this when I had signed up. I looked at the website but didnt see anything about the late fee or $49. I would like this to be taken off of my account so I can just pay the regular membership. ThanksBusiness response

So they had my car repossessed and the whole process after that was handled in a way that Im pretty sure is illegal. They have my no notice of the car being repossessed, they wouldnt tell me where the car was, and they were very rude. They have already sold the car and i havent even received any bill of sale nothing in the math that would even indicate i do have the car anymore just sending me car notes to an address that i never have them. Also they work with a car lots that scam people. They allow the car lots to add fake jobs to your credit report so it looks like you make more money so you get approved for them. Its all very sketchy and unprofessional be cautious. I have also included a picture of the fake job and mas financial popping up at the same time. I have never heard of that place or even seen it but apparently i work there.Initial Complaint

Mas financial has threatened and harassed me mulitple times. I have also received harassing messages from a text app number stating i need to get a job and pay my bills 10 min after i paid to get my car out of repossession. This company is never willing to work with you about a payment. They also somehow found my new address when i never gave it to them or updated it. Here is an example of how they speak to me and this is an email from ******************* she quoted SUMMER REDDERSEN, Your file was sent to me by your precious rep ******* If you are unable to understand that you are in default of your contract and you were given a deferment to avoid staying in this situation and help you get caught up then we need to schedule a pick up time for this vehicle. It is more than clear this is an affordability issue and you cannot pay when you want or can. We will gladly take this vehicle off your hands AGAIN if you cannot pay on time. You were already repossessed earlier this year, and nothing was learned from that experience. We will not continue doing this every month for another 3 years. We need $350 today 5pm or have the vehicle ready because you will not have it by 11/24. Its up to you if you need this vehicle or not. Have a great day. My carnote is actually 320 not 350 also.Business response

Mas finacial is not processing my auto mated payments on time they are giving me a hard time I solely asked for automated payments as I have given them all my bank and personal information I am left to them not processing my payment on time which is given me a late fee payment I have tried talking to a customer service and they just leave me to no avail with no help very unprofessional on their employeesBusiness response

We changed processors for our recurring payments in September. It looks like your recurring payment was set-up after the transition cutoff and didn't make it onto the new system. I apologize for any issues this may have caused.

Their policy Is that they will pay for half of any repair for a vehicle they financed, they said I just needed 3 quotes and the other half, but for no reason explained to me they denied it, I still owe **** on the vehicle and the repair costs **** and is in drivable still at one of the shops that I received a quote from collecting 100 a day storage fee, i **** like them to uphold their side of the repairBusiness response

It is not our policy to assist customers in repairing their vehicle it is the customer's responsibility. We will assist from time to time but in this case **************** told us he did not have 1/2 of the money to repair the vehicle and two it is not worth to invest almost $8,000.00 to repair it. This is a 2013 vehicle so it's 10 years old. Not a very smart business decision.Customer response

I have already paid half of the cost, two-I have to pay back what ever MAS pays so how is it not a good business decision?? Im the one who ends up paying all of it, 3rd- if the car does not get fixed it is not in my best interest to continue to pay on a loan for a car thats undriveable. So basically in the interest of good business decision making, ***** should do the honorable thing and pay half , the original loan will continue to be paid plus another **** for the repair, like I just started I have already paid halfInitial Complaint
