So, I purchased a 3 package deal for IPL treatments I believe, at the end of 12/2021 for $1000. I took advantage of 1 of the 3 in 2022. I made an appointment for treatment #2, however, I had to reschedule it due to the death of a dear friend. After that, it was countless appointments made that had to be cancelled or rescheduled by their office. This went on for most of 2022. Dr. Mackenzie sold the practice to a Dr. Daniel Kolder some time in the past two years. Olga, Dr. Kolder's front office girl, phoned me about three weeks ago. She said that the office will NOT be keeping their commitment of fulfilling my package deal. Basically, I am just out of luck. It didn't matter what I said, it was a definite no go. We had spoken on Wednesday 04/19 regarding a complaint ID #19899182 Pacifica Medical Spa in Santa B***ara. B*** had purchased a laser package back in January of 2022 from Dr. Mackenzie’s practice, this was prior to Dr. Kolder purchasing the assets of the Dr. Mackenzie’s business. These services were paid for in advance to that practice for 3 IPL laser treatments in the future. Dr. Kolder did not purchase Dr. Makenzie’s laser, we did not take on financial responsibility for any pre-paid packages prior to August 2022. After speaking with Dr. Kolder this week, he decided to honor B***’s package and allow us to make suitable arrangements with her for one BBL laser treatment at no charge.
I spoke with B*** this morning, we have a lovely conversation and were able to make arrangements that were satisfactory for all involved. We will be doing a BBL laser treatment for B*** to make up for the treatments she had paid Dr. Mackenzie for last year. I am so happy to report this positive outcome and I made sure B*** knew she could contact me directly if she ever has any issues in the future. Thank you for your time, I hope this resolution is satisfactory for the BBB and this matter can be put to rest.
