I went on a deferred payment plan to purchase a license to the tax software that would allow me to print and efile 200 returns. When I installed the software in February 2022 it contained the wrong license. It had me in pay-per-return mode where I would have to pay for each return printed and efiled. This would cost quite a bit more than what they charged for the 200 returns. When I called Support in February they told me that they had renewed the wrong year but only one person in the company was able to fix it and that person was out until March 30. With an April 18 deadline that was too close. So I switched to another ****** product (**********) which was a little less costly than the pay as you go license but more than the 200 return license. On March 24 I received an email demanding payment for the ProSeries product I never received. I called the next day and spoke with the collections representative and he said he would talk with Accounting. The next day I tried to use the ********** software and it wouldn't take my pay per return payment and could not prepare any tax returns. After calling Support again, they said they had shut me out of their system because I owed them for the software. By doing so I just lost my livelihood and means of support through no fault of my own.Initial Complaint

I am a tax professional and purchased Proseries Professional Edition for 2021. I am experiencing an issue with the ****** corporate tax return form N-30 double printing our firm name over itself, once in small font and once in larger font, so that it looks like gibberish. We cannot print these returns in this condition and present them to clients. We cannot hand write them and mail them in without incurring efile requirement penalties from the State Department of ********. I have notified our State Tax Office of the issue after spending 3-1/2 full days on the phone with Proseries support and still not having any answers as to when this will be fixed or if they plan to fix it so we can file corporate returns. In addition the preparer's name is supposed to be where the firm name is double printing and the firm name is supposed to be below that with the address where just the address is printing. With the high price we pay for this software, I expect it to work. I called at least a dozen times and wasted a lot of time on this issue. The reps all give me different answers. I need a firm answer on a software update for when this will be working. Our tax deadline is one month away and this is embarrassing to explain to clients who need their taxes done. I need the software delivered in a usable form. Otherwise, it is totally useless to me.
