Shutters were ordered Feb. 2023, for property address listed above. Total order was $6900 , 50% paid 2/4/24, 50% pay when installation are complete. on 3/1/2023 I was told the installation was completed and balance paid on the same date. This property was tenant occupied, when tenants moved out end on April 2024, we were informed 1 shutter was short when they went on 3/1/2023, and installer assure tenants they will be back to installed the missing shutter once they get it. On 5/8/2024 I called G*** Davis and told him the situation, he ask me to text him the property address so he can look it up on his record, which I did, on 5/14/24 I texted him again requesting and update on the missing shutters, he replied my text stating he will know by the next day. on 5/17/24, I texted him again for an update, he replied there was a shutter missing and he is having it made, should be done by end of next week. This was the final replied I received from him. I had called him multiple times, it all went to voice mail, texted him multiple times since, but no response at all. Call G*** directly, called his office 800 number, left numerous messages, but no one ever answer or return any of my calles. I have new tenants moving in 7/1/2024, I need for G*** and his company to make good on service and products that were paid for and he acknowledge it was missing on 5/17/24 I had attached the original invoice when order was placed and 50% were paid, and on 3/1/23 when balance were paid when they came and installed most of the shutters and blinds, and screenshot of text msg when he confirm missing shutter on 5/17/24 and states that new one will be ready end of the following weekBusiness response

I've been out of town for the last couple of weeks. I ordered the shutter when James notified me about it. I have the shutter and will have it installed before July 1.Customer response

The business texted me on 6/20/24, stating he is out of town till 6/29/24 and will do the installation on 7/1/24.
I texted him on both 6/29/24 and today 7/1/24, no reply.

Discount Shutters & Blinds installed white shutters in my living room and kitchen with a "lifetime warranty". The white shutters have now turned yellow from the sun. I called G*** ***** to file a warranty, he took my information and I did not hear back for a few weeks. I called again on 1/18/2022 and **** said he "submitted a remake order with the manufacturer". He verified my information and said he would call me back on Thursday or Friday of that week. Since that time I've called and emailed at least a dozen times with no response at all. I have reached out the manufacturer, but their policy is that all warranty claims go through the installer.Business response

I'm sorry this repair / replacement has fallen through the cracks. Most factories have not been doing repairs / warranty work because of "Covid" and worker shortages. This does not excuse my lack of communication with the customer.
I have once again sent in the replacement order for the two shutters and should hear back from them within the next day or two with a timeframe. As soon as the replacement shutters are finished, I will get them swapped out right away.
We cannot issue a refund on an order that was placed over two years ago (1/4/2020), the factory will not refund a warranty issue, but rather replace / repair any issue with their product. They also do not compensate anyone (including the dealer)
for labor or delays.
I will reach out to Kim as soon as the shutters are ready and schedule to get them replaced.
The MFG is ShutterSmart Ph: ###-###-####. I have placed the repair order with the head of customer service this morning via email. Her name is Kristy Combest.
