5/10/2022 A service person, Vlad, from master appliance came to replace a heating element in my gas oven and i was quoted approx $752 ($274 cost of part plus labor). I was asked to pay half of the cost upfront $338 which I paid by check. When the service person came to replace the part, he decided it didnt need to be replaced and cleaned it instead. Then he (Vlad) told me that I owed an additional $117 for the cleaning. Because he was only in my home for ***** min I was shocked that it would cost over $530 to clean the oven and that he decided i no longer needed the part. I asked what exactly was done to clean the oven because all I saw was a can of oven cleaner and he couldnt explain exactly what was done in the brief time he was there and, just insisted that I owed more money. I told him I wanted a detailed invoice of the service before I paid anymore money and he said the company would follow up. They forwarded me an invoice without itemization or explanation again, just that $530 was the cost for the cleaning and maintenance. I asked what that means and what was performed and got no reply. Now I am trying to use my oven and it is still not working so I followed up and asked the company to come back and perform the original service and replace the part per their original estimate and they are refusing saying that I didnt pay the balance so there is no warranty while I still never received explanation of what was done when they decided I didnt need the part. I was still waiting for the explanation which is why I didnt pay the additional $117 yet. I had and still have no issue with the company coming to perform the original service requested at the price that I was quoted minus the deposit I paid. I have asked how they will remedy the situation and the manager ******** is not responding. Master appliance phone: **************. **********************************************************.
