My new S23 phone was stolen 3 minutes after we left emergency room on 11.23.23. It was covered with the blanket. We sent one of guards unfortunately he didn't lift blanket...by time he came back it was gone as room was cleaned. We contacted the care **** and spoke w ****** ... they later sent us a standard email response that we signed a waiver. We sent them all proofs via ****** find that it was still in hospital after we left. We also filed a police report which we also submitted. The trauma and anxiety and disappointment that this has caused us is unimaginable. No one wanted to view the videos from lobby also. We provided them with the time I came in and it shows phone was in my hand. We suspended the phone and bought a new one. Lobby security guards showed no care in finding our phone and no one wanted to start an investigation on who cleaned the room. They just said that they are not responsible for our valuables and should have placed the phone in safe deposit box. 1st of all I just came to pick up my mom and she was discharged within minutes time. We never left the room at all. And also no one ever mentioned a safe deposit box or that we signed a waiver. This should be on some sign. They should also leave a sign lift the blankets as cleaning lady will steal your valuables. At this point we realize this hospital is not safe and even if she was sleeping someone would have most likely stole it. Again my daughter walked in w her phone at 9:43 pm and walked out with me. I was discharged approx 30 min later. She never used the bathroom in hallway as she had a urine catheter. It was *****% stolen by the cleaning lady or nurse after we left room. Hospital doesn't want to take any responsibility. Shame on them! I also contacted Tarzana hospital CEO in *******. He did NOT respond. The reason phone was covered by the blanket as nurse didn't suggest to lift her. My daughter had to lift me off bed. Not easy task. They also didn't suggest wheel chair. Shame on them!
