The date when I left the phone was January 18, 2022. The issue was that my phone's screen had broken off and I took it to Blue Point to have it repaired. They agreed to repair it and I waited for about an hour and a half for the phone to be fixed. Despite being told that they would contact me, they never did and I had to drive to the shop to find out how the repair had went. One of the employees told me that my phone's video connector had broken off and would need to be sent to the laboratory. The price that they said they would charge me would be 320 dollars and would take about 5-7 days for the phone to be ready. Once they had told me that the phone had returned, they further told me that the lab could not fix the phone. They told me this on January 26, 2022. I went over to pick it up the next day and was given my phone back with it's screen missing. When I asked them for the screen, they said that they had tossed it out because my phone's screen was cracked, which was not true. When I confronted them about it, they started changing excuses and told me that only the bottom of my screen was cracked. Then they changed their excuse by saying that the screen's video connector was not connected to the phone. I took my phone to another repair shop and they told me that what Blue Point did was only further damage my phone, breaking the motherboard and the stored information inside of it. According to the other repair shop, Blue Point Repair was overcharging me when in reality, My phone's repair should have been done for 120 dollars compared to Blue Point's 320! Blue Point lied to me and instead of repairing the damage, they worsened it and basically handed me my phone's skeleton. They did not tell me that they had damaged my phone or that they had tossed my phone's screen out. They are a dishonest company that only damaged my phone and planned to con me for 320 dollars. I would like to have this incident investigated with the BBB please.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/03/22) */ Thank you for giving us the change to present our position on this matter and clarify. Since cases like this are recurrent from people who try to take advantages on situations. And manifest that in our records customer identifies with different personal information from statement presented. This case in particular customer Walked into the store with a device in two parts, in one hand a broken off screen in another hand the body of his device, originally was given a price of $145.00 for screen replacement which is stated in his first receipt. In the process of the screen replacement we got into the device lcd's connector and we noticed the Connector was also broken, there was no way to connect a new screen, until this moment the original one issue turned in to two issues since device needed first a LCD connector be fixed before assembling a new LCD, we contacted him telling the situation he was clearly explained in front and given him two options, leave the phone the way it was without fixing it or Try to fix the bad connector first from third party by sending it to a laboratory. He agreed the Lab costs & shipping $175.00 giving a total of $320.00 (lab costs and a new LCD) If device was not possible to fix from Laboratory there was no way for us to assemble a new LCD. We also want to manifest customer's original phone screen was never tossed at this time is stored at the store since he didn't take it. We never installed a new LCD on device, at this point we have no responsibilities since we are only responsible for parts installed. we are also mention that our Terms of Service and Warranty. clearly says WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE OF THIRD-PARTY PARTS OR OTHER COMPONENTS NON-WORKING OR MALFUNCTIONING IS ALSO NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY PRIOR DAMAGES which customer agreed once leaving his device at our shop.
