I am not responsible for this debt with MULLEN FIN. I have no contract with MULLEN FIN, and they have not provided the original contract as I requested.Business response

We had a valid account for this customer. The credit is reporting accurately. With the customers permission we will send a copy of the contract, credit report at the time of funding, and the customers application. For the record the customer has tried on multiple occasions, through multiple sources, to have this account deleted and we continue to report what is factual. Due to privacy reason we cannot attach the legal documents with the customers permission. Customer has never requested a copy of the contract from us either. ****** ****** President ************Initial Complaint

Someone stole my car went on a high-speed chase in ********* hit a light pole and totaled my car the whole time I had reported it stolen the insurance company told me they couldn't help me when my car has a GPS in it they refuse to help me find my car so now they want me to pay $12,000 for a car that they couldn't even locate for me when they have a GPS in itBusiness response

We will add documents with the consumers permission. Customers vehicle was stolen, customer did not have their own insurance, it was force placed on their account. Our insurance went and inspected vehicle and deemed it a total loss. Customer was fortunate to have any coverage at all. Customers are still repsonsible for past due payments, force placed insurance, and impound fees. If customeer would have maintained their own policy, all but the past due payments would be covered. Customer should be apologizing and recinding complaint. If insurance was not force placed, balance owed would be over $13,000!! Unfortunately, we have yet to receive an apology!!!Customer response

I am not liable for this debt with Mullen Finance, I do not have a contract with ******* ****** ********. They did not provide me with the original contract as requested .Business response

This is an accurate debt and reporting correctly. Mr. ****** abandoned his vehicle at an impound yard for unpaid parking tickets. The vehicle was repossessed, sold at auction. There is a balance after the sale. Mr. ****** attempts every month through the * ****** system to dispute this debt. We believe it is reporting correctly. His debt has been assigned to a collection agency and they are now attempting to resolve this debt. This is ****** ****** General Manager of Mullen Finance Plan. The name of the collection agency is ******* ****** ******** and their phone number is *** ********. We are also free to negotiate the payoff if Mr. ****** is interested. He can contact me directly at ************************ or he can call the office at *** ********.Customer response

Collection account from *** ** ***** with account #***************** and a balance of *********. The original creditor is Mullen Finance.
I never had a contract with this debt collector for any debt . Please provide proof from the original creditor that this debt collector owns this debt and has legal authority to collect it or delete this account .Initial Complaint

This company has been reporting the same amount of money the our credit reports and every time we call they say they cant don't anything about it. we have our payments made to them, we haven't signed any paper work with them because they never get back to us but get upset when we miss a payment and report it to our credit.Business response

Hello,
On August 7, 2019 there was a small claims hearing for Plaintiff Mullen Finance and Defendant ***************************** at the Orange County Superior Court. We went to mediation and a non judgement stipulated payment agreement was signed in the amount of $2690.00 at 10% interest. Payments of $100 per month were supposed to be paid starting on August 26, 2019. Per rules by the court, if the stipulated payment agreement goes into default, then Mullen Finance is entitled to collect the full balance owed at the interest rate of the original loan rate.
That is exactly what happened here, only five payments were made in the amount of $100 and then later the customer was only paying $50 per month which was not the payment plan. There was also months that payments were not made and we helped the customer out by not seeking to get a judgment for defaulting and we accepted the $50 per month up until the customer stopped making payments and never completed the payment agreement.
Even if the agreement was fulfilled, the loan would have not been paid off but settled for less than owed. Only if the loan is paid off in it's entirety will it show paid on the credit report. Mullen Finance is properly reporting this.
