On ******* ***** **** I entered a contract agreement with the business for dental braces for my daughter. The contract agreement was for a total of ***** for the totality of treatment over a period of 2 years. The business and I agreed that I would be paying for this treatment out of pocket. We agreed on a payment schedule of $114 per month over the course of the 2 years. The dental practice staff suggested that my daughter, **************, inquire with her job if she had access to dental insurance; this was after making roughly 3 or 4 monthly payments of the agreed $114 per month. The staff stated that if her insurance covered the cost of braces, they would bill the insurance and refund me the payments made thus far. My daughter was notified by her job that a dental practice was billing the insurance $***** for braces and the insurance company flagged the transaction. We talked directly to the dental staff and they stated that the insurance company should have never disclosed that information to us. Afterwards, my daughter continued her treatment with the dental practice we believe they retaliated against her. There were multiple instances where she was made to wait over 40 minutes to be seen and they would only schedule her during her working hours; this was a change since prior to us addressing the insurance issue, we never faced any sort of issues with them. Lastly, my daughter continued her dental braces with them. However, we were never refunded the 3-4 payments we made originally as the dental practice stated they would. We are seeking to have a price adjustment and have the company honor the promise they made to ys.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/23) */ The patient is still being treated in our office with the orthodontic doctor. She has been seen for 24 months and still needs few more months of treatment. So far patient has paid total of $****, and insurance paid $******* total: $*******. we have already put stop to insurance payments. After 24 months patient becomes month to month and the fee is $145 per visit per contract signed. Patient has appointment this Saturday 2/26/22 for orthodontic treatment. At this point our office does not owe patient any money. We do not agree to any claims of retaliation against for any financial reasons. We see a lot of patients on Ortho days and unfortunately sometimes there is short wait. She was late few times and she had to wait a little longer or rescheduled. Thank you, Advanced Dental Group
