I took my vehicle to Americas auto and tire care in **************** on 9/5 2024 to get an oil change and an alignment. They told me that that the alignment machine was broken but they could get me an oil change. After they changed my oil, they told me that I had a small oil leak and need to get my valve cover gasket replaced. so, i paid them$398.37 to replace it. on my way home from Americas auto my check engine light came on. They told me to drive it back and they would check. the head mechanic told me they put an o ring on incorrectly, and that had caused the check engine light. They said they found a small oil leak after they already promised me they did a thorough inspection the day before and i would need to pay $1,100 for them to fix it. i asked if the car was drivable and they said yes. The next time i drove the car it overheated after 15 minutes and shut ******* was a sunday .so i called them first thing Monday morning and the told me they would pay to get my car towed to them and make it right. Now they tell me that it will be $2,100 to fix my car and i have to pay $350 just to get the car released to take it to a different mechanic. the car was a 2015 ***** Cruze . it had ****** miles on it and never had any problems before we took it into Americas tire and auto in *******. I feel they are taking advantage of me and now holding my car if I don't pay them the $350 for the tow back to their shop is extortion. Please help I don't know what else to do.Thank you *** ********.
