I paid ***** of Tailored Living $3,030.79 for a deposit on cabinets in my garage on 4-4-23. He told me that the deposit was required to order the materials. He said the materials would be delivered and installed in **** weeks. The deposit was made via Quickbooks invoices and the payment came directly out of my bank account. I texted with ***** several times to find out the status of the project. I texted him on July 20th, July 26th and July 31st. His only response was on July 21st when he apologized and said he would check with his partner on the **** He has not responded since that time. I have asked for my deposit back on the 26th and the 31st. It has now been over 16 weeks since the deposit was made with no communication on the status of the project.When I ****** Tailored Living now it shows that the business is temporarily closed. Nobody answers the phone or returns messages. Do I have any recourse for getting my deposit back? I feel left out in the cold when the money was taken directly out of my bank account. If I could have paid via credit card, I could dispute the charge. I feel like I have been cheated out of my $3k.
