I met **** at the Home and Garden Show on Sunday, September 17th. On Monday September 18th **** and his wife ******* came to my house to discuss having him create custom window *****. He did not accept my credit card and said he can only take check. I wrote him a check for half the amount with the rest of the amount due when the window ***** would be installed. He said he would get back in touch with me on Saturday, Sept. 23rd. I call him on Oct. Saturday 1st and had to leave a message. He called back letting me know he would provide me with an update in the middle of the week. He did not follow up. I tried calling him and e-mailing him and have not heard from him. At this point I am requesting a full refund.Business response

I have meet with the customer. We have made an arrangement to resolve the issues with an initial payment of $500 last month and balance of equal payments of $375 for four months to pay the balance of the account. Sorry about this situation I got into I have had an unblemished record for over twenty years.Customer response

Transaction date May 27, 2023. Two-thousand dollars Cash( $2000.00) was paid to ****************************** -Carl's Custom Iron Works. I have copy of paid receipt. I attended a Home Show at ************************ May 2023. ************** came to my home in *********** ** to measure my custom door, requested 1/2 down for cost of door $4500.00. At that time this was given to him with notice that this would be completed within 6-8 weeks from that date. The beginning of August 2023 I called ************** on his business and cell phone with no answer. I attempted to call again a week later when he responded and stated he had been released from the hospital and would get back with me. I respected that. I called again a week later and he then said his accountant had messed up with his taxes and he is now out of money but if I can give him another week to get this cleared. I waited again to no avail. Several other attempts with excuses after excuses. He wanted me to wait another 30 days. I told him absolutely not!! I wanted my money back. He then stated, okay I will send you a certified check in the mail. This was 2 1/2 weeks passed.
