On November 12, 2022, I was on my laptop and went into ****** Website to purchase some tickets and clicked on what I thought was the next screen to complete the transaction. Afterwards a red warning displayed that my laptop had been locked along with a ***** number for me to call for assistance. I called the number and spoke with a staff member from Hybrid IP Security, who explained what happened and how he could fix my laptop by cleaning it up followed with the installation of a network fire wall for a total of $200, $ 100 for the clean-up and for 1 year security protection $100. I agreed to pay the $ 200 and charged this transaction to my credit card. Then on November 14, 2022, I received a call from someone allegedly from my bank calling to verify some transactions that were made on my bank credit and debit cards both of which I knew nothing about. On January 14, 2023, a fraudulent debit was made to my checking account. As a result of these fraudulent transactions, my bank account, debit card and credit card numbers were changed. The $366.00 was put back into my checking account. since that time, I had a new network security system installed on my laptop. During my dealings with this company, is when I experienced these unexpected and unfortunate banking problems. They constantly will tell me if I receive calls from people saying they are from Hybrid IP Security, to just hang up and I find that rather strange. My basic complaint is that I am still receiving calls from this company and from a different ***** number and the most recent number is ************** received on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 7:44pm. I don't feel comfortable talking with anyone from this company and therefore have not returned any of their calls.

On November 9, 2022, my computer locked up displaying a warning, Windows Security Defense and to call **************, for help. I called and talked to a Hybrid IP Security (Hybrid) security expert who said I needed a Firewall in my computer and explained the purpose and process of fixing my computer and needed a lot of information and access to my computer to fix the problem, which I gave him, and he proceeded to fix the problem and install a Firewall. After that was done, I was connected to someone who said the software would cost $399.99 plus labor for a total cost of $747.00 and had to send it via *************** Transfer (EFT) to their bank, Novatech, because they did not accept credit cards. I agreed and sent the EFT.On November 10, I discovered that I already had a Firewall in my computer and therefore did not need a second Firewall from Hybrid. Therefore, I had another company, I have done business with, to remove the Hybrid software and Firewall and tried to cancel the $747 EFT, but could not because my bank cannot cancel an EFT.I called Hybrid ***************) and told them that I was displeased and had had their software and Firewall removed from my computer and wanted the $747 refunded. Hybrid called back saying that in order to receive the refund I would have to pay $299.99 for their labor and to send another EFT to another bank, Techis. I agreed and sent the EFT.After 14 times trying to get my refund from Hybrid, only getting excuses and/or promises, on January 6, 2023, ***** from Hybrid said he would help get me my refund, but had to have access to my computer. I gave him access and he took control to my computer. Later, ***** said good bye and hung up. Later, *** called and wanted my information. I refused explaining that Hybrid already had all my information they needed. After 8 more tries to get my refund, only getting the same excuses, promises, delays, etc., Hybrid has yet to send my $747 refund.
