This business provided a 1 year warranty to replace and dead plants and flowers as part of our landscaping job. The plants that were provided were nearly dead when they originally delivered them and they assured us in our contract that they would replace them. After repeated phone calls and texts to the owner they stopped responding and owe use at least $500 in replaced plants and flowers.

I paid a $1000 for planning services in *********, **. This was to be a down payment of sorts as it was to apply to the final costs once the plans were approved and accepted. I received no product, no plans. I only got emailed a single-page brief concept in anticipation of a design meeting, which never happened as he cancelled on me and never responded for rescheduling. Then I got this vague email:-------------------------------I'm writing to share an update on the recent communication delays and schedule a time to reconnect about your project. Unfortunately, there was a sudden and unexpected halt to all Laurel Landscapes operations at the end of June. I have needed to wait to reach out until a path forward with your project and the company became clear. The timing of this has been out of my hands. I apologise for the delay! I am pleased to say that, while LL is not going to be continuing it's operations in its former capacity, the leadership team will fully support us by providing your designs and other resources to continue the partnership that we have started. I am fully equipped to support you in your landscape transformation and would love to continue working as your project manager to achieve the designs we have worked so diligently to create!I understand that this news may be surprising. You took a lot of time and care when choosing to work with Laurel Landscapes. I can assure you that no quality will be sacrificed in order to complete your project as planned. Working with you has been an absolute pleasure. I care deeply about the relationship we have cultivated and the vision we have curated for your yard. This email is sent with the hope that this delay will not deter you from pursuing the beautiful vision we are creating for your landscape.-------------I replied stating that I was uncomfortable with this change and asked of my options for a refund. I received no response and now their laurellandscapes.co emails are no longer working. I have reached out to the company via the "information request" form on their website but have not gotten a response yet.

I reached out to this company a few months back for a landscape design. There werent any red flags going through the process.A really nice, down-to-earth young woman came out to my house to discuss my needs and take measurements. I really felt like she did an excellent job of getting what I wanted. During this first meeting I decided that I wanted to move forward, and gave her a $500 deposit. I also received an emailed receipt for the deposit. As I wasnt in a hurry, I kind of put this on the back burner. Eventually, after not hearing anything for more than a month I decided to check in. This is when I discovered that the young woman Id been working with, her contact number no longer was available. Same thing when I contacted the company directly. Im extremely shocked, angry and disappointed.

We completed a landscaping project with them on 3/3/23, for a total cost of $51,298 (contract and change order attached). On 4/3/23, our project lead said over text message (attached) that we would get a $250 refund for plants in the original contract that were never planted. This has still not happened. On 6/20/23, our project lead said over email (attached) that he would replant 8 plants that died, likely worth $320. That has still not happened. We have been trying to get a hold of our project lead and the company since 6/30/23. E-mails have been bouncing back, and we have received no response. There is a 6 month warranty on the plants, and some of them have not been doing well; at least one plant has died, and we have had to perform several hours of our own maintenance to fix the irrigation they installed and rehabilitate the plants they planted. We estimate there is $490 of value lost here, and likely another $450 of future value lost for the remaining month of warranty we still have.Overall, we believe we are owed at least $1540 from them.

I contracted for landscaping services from Laurel Landscaping for the growing season. I gave them a deposit of $610.20 for the season, which would be applied to the last seasonal invoice. I have paid my invoices in full at the end of each month. I have continually tried to contact them by phone, email, text messages with no response. As a last resort, I called one of the gardeners whose number I had. She was a subcontractor for them. She informed me that the business has declared bankruptcy and is going out of business. I then tried to contact them again last Thursday and told them if I did not receive a response by end of day on Monday, I was going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have received no communication from them. I want my deposit of $610.20 refunded since I am receiving no services from them to use that deposit. The people contacted numerous times were ************************* at ************, *********************************** and *************************, ************, *************************************** I am uploading the paid deposit invoice and copies of the emails sent. I also called, left voice mails, and texted them..

Here's the letter we sent to the company owners on July 12, 2023:Dear *****,Thanks for talking to me on July 10 and for telling me that you would replace the plants that didn't make it through the winter under your one-year warranty. If it's easier for you, we would be willing to accept a refund of $1,400 for the 88 plants that didn't make it as described in detail below. If you decide to replace the 88 plants, I would appreciate it if you would please let me know by the end of the week when you will do so.We signed a contract on April 21, 2022 with Kitchen Door landscaping to re-landscape our property for a total cost of $30,062 which we paid in three installments of which $11,058 was for the planting of 240 perennial plants and shrubs or an average cost of $125.24/plant or shrub. The contract also included an option for a drip irrigation system at a cost of $3,894 to individually water the 240 plants/shrubs which we accepted and paid for at an average cost of $16.22/plant or shrub. We added the drip system because PM ***** said they only guaranteed plantings for one year if we purchased the drip system. That brought the total cost we paid to $33,956. The one-year warranty was confirmed in numerous text messages, phone calls, and texts with the succeeding KD project managers (PM).Most of the work was done between Jun 23 and June 27, 2022, although some work was not completed until the weeks and months that followed. Some work was not completed until as late as Oct. 2022.Some plants didnt survive because they did not have a drip line run to them which was confirmed by PM *************************. We also discovered last summer that the oval in the front yard did not have the cardboard weed barrier that was supposed to be put down in all the planting beds, and that some old plants that were supposed to have been removed had not been. ***** promised in a text that *** would come over to take care of that. Some plantings didnt survive through that first summer and when pointed out to the Project Manager, *************************, he promised in numerous emails over the summer that *** would come and replace plants that had died. Later, he changed the story to say that while all plants/shrubs are guaranteed a full year including the first winter, they dont replace any plantings until the following spring and they are only replaced once.Only 152 plants/shrubs survived the winter which indicates we lost 88 plants. At $16.22/plant or shrub, the dollar loss is to us is $1,427.80. I notified KD Chief *********************** (who first sold us on your company and was our first PM), PM *******, and their contractor *** on May 8, 2023 that we wanted all the dead plants to be replaced. I finally heard from ***** and learned then that both ***** and ***** no linger worked for the company, that the company changed names to Laurel Landscaping, and that we should contact PM Hunter which we did. I called and texted Hunter on May 8 and he came by and inspected our property noting all the dead or dying plants and he said he would get *** over in the next week. I told ****** that we really wanted to get the plants replaced by the end of June before the July 4th weekend. On May 22 ****** said he hoped *** would be replacing the plants in the following week. On July 2nd I asked ****** for a hard date for *** to replace our plants. I left voicemails and spoke to ****** on July 10 who gave me contact info for the owners and CEOs *** and *************************. I spoke to ***** that day who asked me to send him this information and that we would get our plants replaced. ***************** <*******************>8:43?AM (3 minutes ago) to info, *****, ****************************** **** I just realized that I forgot to include the address of my property where the work was done.****************************************************************** ************

Paid over $30K for a landscaping project with Laurel Landscapes, formerly Kitchen Door. As a part of service and payment, it was agree that the plant material was under warranty for one year; the company would replace any plant material that died or did not come back the following year. As of now, Laurel Landscapes is not following through on this agreement nor communicating with me in regards to this portion of the work.
