I went to get a $60, 30 minute oil change. It was suggested I get my tires rotated. I agreed. I go to pay and they put 2 lug nuts in my hand and said they will give me a discount to cover the cost but that I had to go to an auto parts store and get new ones. The auto parts store was in shock that they let me drive w/only 3 lug nuts and said one of the posts was stripped, the lug nut was not going to go back on, he knows ******* at the grease monkey and to tell him that he needs to make this right. I go back to grease monkey and ******* calls the cops to have me trespassed. I had to take my car elsewhere, and that ******** said he was going to charge me $200 + parts to fix it and to report grease monkey for not only putting my life and others in danger with only 3 capable lug nuts on my tire but that they also charged me for a tire rotation and didnt even do it. There was only one good tire on my car,the back drivers side. He assumed they started with that one and were going to go clockwise around my car, stripped my post on the driver front and couldnt get the lug nut back on, and then just stopped there. I drive for Lyft, I often have children in my car, and I was supposed to drive to the mountains after my oil change. I dont know anything about cars and thought nothing of this because I trusted the mechanics. Grease monkey was so casual about it from the start.Had I decided to drive to the mountains as planned and get the lug nuts on my way home instead, I could have had my ******** off coming down the mountain. They are supposed to be trusted mechanics and are taking advantage of young girls ignorance.I paid $165 to have someone break my car that was in perfect condition on arrival, will miss out on about $800 waiting until a trusted mechanic can work on it this weekend because I wont be able to drive for Lyft, and will have to spend about $500 between labor, parts, and towing for something grease monkey broke. This was supposed to be a $60, 30 minute oil change.

      Hello B.B.B.

I have spoken with ************ on 9/26/2023 and sent her a full refund the same day for all the services we performed on 9/18/2023. I also offered to replace the broken wheel stud or studs at our other location but she informed me that she was having it done somewhere else with new tires.

      Thank you for your time.

Took my Jeep in for a simple oil change. Not even two hours later my car stopped working, all the oil leaked , the Manager named Chance stated they would be responsible for fixing the issue, they inspected my car where it stopped working and changed the oil filter, he said he couldn't figure out the issue so they towed it back to their shop, only to continue saying they couldn't find the issue but stated all the oil had spilled around the engine. They asked me to take it to a shop of my choice for a diagnosis, after I was given the diagnosis of the car which was 13k and that I need a new engine. They do not want to be responsible anymore, I was told by this same manager "they couldn't go around paying for peoples engines or everyone would be having a new engine" as if it was my fault the oil leaked or my fault they can't be responsible. I was never able to talk to the "boss" or anyone higher than the store manager.

Thank you for getting this to me, I apologize for the delayed response.

We did the full service oil change for ************** on 5/23/2022 as she stated. she then called back a little later explaining  to *********************** (Our General Manager) that she was going down the road and had a low oil pressure light come on.

Chance drove out to where she was to inspect the vehicle. He found no evidence of anything wrong with the oil drain plug or anything leaking from around the oil filter housing cap.

Since this vehicle requires a canister oil filter,  he proceeded to take the oil filter out of the housing to inspect the filter and the anti-drain back plunger /O-Ring.

Found nothing wrong with the part or the installation. He did find that it was low on oil and added a quart. ************** did indicate that the added some oil, but wasn't clear on how much.

************** is correct that we did have the vehicle towed back to our facility so that we could get a better picture of where the oil might be leaking from.

All that was determined is that the oil was coming down from the back of the engine, from the intake area and running down the top of the transmission **** housing.

At this point we were very clear that the oil leak was not coming from anything from the oil change. We did not proceed with pulling anything off of the top of the engine for further diagnosis.

We informed the customer, so that she would know that it definitely didn't have anything to do with the oil change and we couldn't pinpoint exactly where the oil was coming from.

We knew of a problem that Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler have  with the ************** filter housing and cooler assembly" on the 3.2 and 3.6 liter engines.  That's where oil appears  to be coming from, but again, it needed to be properly  diagnosed by a full Service Automotive shop and instead of telling her we would send it to one of our preferred shops, I said that I would pay for the tow to a shop of her choice. This way we could have a neutral 3rd party between us. She asked to have it towed to Pro Automotive, so we did.

As ************** stated, this shop informed her that it was going to need a new engine, But they never did a diagnosis on the original problem, Where is all of the oil leaking out of the engine from?? They don't know!!

So I guess the next step was to get the vehicle towed to a more reputable full service automotive shop. ************** was expecting us to have it towed again, when I had already paid for 2 tows and one of the tows to a place of her choice. I  told Chance to let her know that the problem she is having with this vehicle has nothing to do with what we touched as part of the service that we performed for her.

If she would like to get it towed to better automotive shop and have it properly diagnosed, we would stand behind our parts and workmanship. If there was anything that we caused to make this vehicle fail, we would certainly warranty our service.

I am sending this link below from an Ecogard.com article that explains in pretty good detail about the Pentastar housing and cooling assembly, which is what's  happened with Ms. ************* Jeep.

I apologize to ************** for the inconvenience this has caused her, and I mean that. I know it's tough and frustrating to just have something on your vehicle give out and leave you without a car, but we are sure that it was it's time for this to happen and had nothing to do with the common oil change.
