This review is work done from spring-fall 2020. It's quite late, but for so long I didn't even want to think about this experience.We were incredibly disappointed by the lack of communication and project management of J&G. Our remodel project consisted of two bathroom remodels (a hall bath and a master bath), and molding/casing install/painting. We acted professional and accommodating.We did order custom cabinets, which did take longer to get in, however we were told that was not a problem and we would get on the schedule to complete the remodels once they came in. They arrived in the beginning of July and we had a 4-day vacation at the end of July, which we informed J&G of so he could set up the schedule appropriately. By 17 August, we still had not heard from J&G about getting our project on his schedule. We inquired via email and on 21 August were told he would be on our project later the next week. By 31 August, we still had heard nothing from J&G and informed him that we were expecting our 2nd child in December and we would really like to have the work done before the baby came. He assured us that he could complete the work in the next two months. By 1 November, the hall bath was still not 100% complete and we had no word on the master bath plan. By this time we were tired of the continued false promises to finish our remodels, and when J&G informed us on 14 November that he would not be able to complete our remodel project before the new baby came, we decided it was time to reconcile the account and move on.The work was okay, not A+, no attention to detail. There were issues with the wrong tile order and install (all parties at fault), but we paid in full for both the original install and the redo, so J&G can't complain there. The finished bathtub drain leaked into the kitchen below, which was fixed. Overall, there appeared to be a lack of experience with the person that came to do the general work and J&G's son who also did some general work.

We reached out to ***** and the BBB. The BBB has offered Mediation to warranty any work or products used on the project so that we could make ******* bathroom an A+ quality. She has declined directly with the BBB. Her complaint seems to be with communication according to her last email to me on June 20th, 2022. Direct quote: "The BBB review was about the lack of communication." She also states that she will send me pictures of the project and this has not been done. There is no way to rectify this situation. As far as communication I have 43 emails just to ***** alone that does not count the emails to her husband ******. So that is effective communication. We are sorry that it took ***** 2 years to communicate her displeasure with our company.

These guys did an outstanding job finishing our basement. They did exactly what we asked for and the workmanship from each of the specialists - *********, electrician, painter, etc. - was consistently first class. We kept in constant communication so that we knew when things were going to happen with the project. We now have a beautiful basement which will certainly add to the value of our house and for which we are very grateful!
