I took my truck to this shop to get fixed over two months ago they gave me my truck and the next day I turned it on it didnt want to turn on I called the shop and was able go get it back to them this time theyve had it for over a month my truck isnt fixed its getting towed back to my home and in the mean time I had already paid them $883.58 ***** who is the owner had also installed my fuel pump which I paid close to $900 for and he burnt it out and replaced it with a used one instead I left their shop about an hour ago and I had to call the cops because they were refusing to release it back to me. They also stopped answering any of my calls for the last 3 weeks that is why I decided I needed to go down there personally if you could please help me with this issue I would greatly appreciate it thank you!Business response

*********************** brought his truck to us so we could replace his fuel pump on his 2008 **** 250 6.4 diesel. now we have a strict no warranty policy on customer purchased **********************, ****** purchased his own aftermarket performance pump in November of 2022, now he did not bring his truck in for this repair until January of 2023 his warranty for his pump was already over after 30 days from time of purchase. we installed it after he dropped it off to us and his truck was running fine i did let ****** know that he still needed work done to his truck to make it run properly and he still needed parts for the pump he purchased as it would not operate properly. ****** informed he did not have the money for all the necessary repairs. after ****** took his truck he did call a week later to inform us his truck was not running right. how ever we informed him all we did was the labor on the install so we are not liable for his parts especially since he did not want to pay for the correct repairs but we told him we would still look at it and make sure it was installed correctly which it was the aftermarket fuel pump only came with 3 wires to hook up and was easily installed and worked fine after installation. we informed ****** that his quote on quote new pump was bad and he had to try to warranty it. we called the place of which he purchased and found out that he made his purchase in November and the warranty only lasts 30 days after purchase. ****** was upset at the fact a new pump was bad, we explained that it could have been defective from the jump and after being herassed by ****** after it was made clear we would only install it with no warranty for the parts or labor. we even tried to get him a used pump just to get him back on the road but unfortunately his truck still needed multiple repairs to make drivable, and he did not want to pay for the the correct repairs as he would tell me he did not have the money for them and we told him just to come pick up his truck as there is nothing else we could do for him. at this point ****** is being very unprofessional and was threatening to fight us.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:when i brought my truck to their shop it was working it was having problems starting up in the cold but it would still turn on and worked perfectly fine after it was going ***** at Highbid said it was because i needed to replace the glow plugs and the gas pump so i went ahead and purchased those parts i purchased that gas pump because he was the one who said it was top of the line paid him for labor he said my truck was ready i picked it up (1/23/23) the next day i was going to work i tried turning on my truck and nothing i called him he said no problem bring it in we'll see what's going on i had to get my truck towed over there again on 02/07/23 only reason it took me over a week to get it back was because i was hospitalized and he was also aware of that. after i took it in i would try calling him on his cellphone he stopped answering my calls or texts i called his shop his dad hung up the phone on me. I had someone else call ***** it was Friday he answered and said they were waiting for another part to arrive and that they were still pumping the air out of the system but that he would give me a call back Tuesday at the latest. never received a call or text still no answer so i decided to contact the police and see what i could do they told me to go down there and try to see what was going on with my truck. They're making false accusations saying "I was threatening to fight them" all calls are recorded and i was still on the phone with the dispatcher when they were the ones yelling at me and threatening me saying i wasn't going to get my truck back the police showed up and that's when they said the truck had to be released since i didn't owe them any money they didn't have a right to keep it. So i still think i need to be reimbursed for that money my truck was working left their shop only worked for a day and stopped working they had my tuck for almost 2 months and couldn't figure it out i took it to another shop and within two days they fixed my tuck and its still running great so i'm not sure what kind of work or business they're doing there i wish i would of read their actual ****** reviews i'm not the only one who had a problem with them not answering and not the only one who's vehicle only worked for a day before it broke down again.

"We are not going to refund any monies in regard to services provided. You did a chargeback with your credit card company, that is being settled, and we do not owe any monies moving forward. The additional work that was done to the vehicle, by your request. was to satisfy your concern that the part was mis installed. Upon inspection, we found the part was faulty and also no longer under warranty and had been since before bringing it to **. In addition, the labor on the second part, was never paid for.
In conclusion, we will not be offering a refund."
