I had a very disappointing experience with Carson and ** salon and stylist *************************, involving both hair coloring and extension installation. After FOUR blonding appointments since February, my hair was still dark blonde with severe banding and orange tones. The goal was to achieve a brighter blonde, but the results were unsatisfactory. The application was uneven, leading to inconsistent tones. I was charged $480 for a "Total Transformation," double the cost of a full blonding service ($225), without achieving the desired results. I initially purchased hair from the salon, but it was of poor quality. The owner ordered new hair, but there were shipping issues, so ****** allowed me to order my own hair from JZ Hair. Despite the previous poor install, the salon charged me again. I negotiated the price down to a move-up (from $550 to $240), but it was still unfair. The second install, the extensions were installed poorly, causing severe pain and tension sores. I went to another stylist for a second opinion and she confirmed the poor install and found sores that were crusty and bleeding. I contacted ******, but she was out of town and only advised brushing lightly. With an impending trip, the second stylist encouraged removal to prevent further tension and potential hair loss. Luckily, she is certified in extensions and could redo my installation, though it required a third payment. The owner blamed me for the issues, citing poor removal of the extensions and the hair brand, and ignored my detailed concerns about the coloring. Further research revealed that both Carson and ** and ************************* have expired cosmetology licenses. Given the poor service, lack of resolution, and unqualified providers, I strongly advise against using Carson and ** salon and *************************. My experience caused physical pain, significant inconvenience, and extra expenses to correct the work elsewhere.Review from Michelle W

For those that know me, you know that I am not typically someone who will bash others in the public eye. However I have a lot of friends and family that shop near ***********************, and want to steer them away from this HORRIBLE SALON. I also have to express my absolutely disgust with the ************************* management for their complete and utter disregard for the health and well-being of not only their customers, but the hairstylist at *************************. I scheduled an appointment, but unfortunately became ill, with several of my coworkers recently testing positive for Covid, I opted to cancel, said appointment. I was charged the FULL AMOUNT ($300!!!) for my appointment all because I did not CALL more than 24 hours ahead of time. I attempted to contact management and explain why I had cancelled the appointment. After multiple attempts (emails, calls, messages) to reach the manager, I was finally told that I should have known more than 24 hours ahead of the appointment that I had Covid. The ridiculousness of that statement is just beyond absurd to me. I understand the rationale behind charging a cancellation fee, and if the cancellation fee had been a reasonable amount, you guys would not be hearing from me. ** Just a add note - there is only one worthwhile stylist within that salon so I would not waste your time, patience, or money on *************************Review from Megan H

This was the worst and by far the trashiest most unprofessional place I have ever been to. I fell for the fake photos on her instagram posted by a stylist named Kitzia. Trusting that she actually had skill, I eagerly made an appointment at Carson and Co. My appt was at 2pm, I arrive at 1:45 and am not sat down until 2:20 as Kitzia has double booked me with a huge bleach job on another girl. When she comes over, she takes a super quick look at my hair, gives me a ****************************** "I don't really know how your hair will take bleach" spiel and at this point decides to do whatever she wants to do. She bleaches the top of my head, washes it out.. it looks ok? Then she says "I think I want to tone it again"... ok... tones it again, and all the color she just lifted is now a reddish *****. What does she decide to do? BLEACH AGAIN! Then tones it.. again. FIVE and a half hours later and I look like a skunk. I was in shock. And to kick me while I was down they charged me $98 for a "face frame" when I went in asking for a balayage!! My hair is literally FRIED. It gets better! I call management who asks me to send some photos and that they would call me back the next day. Four pm the next day, no call.. I email again.. 10 minutes later I get a call from probably the most unprofessional "owner" (I think her name was ****) that I have ever had to talk to. NOT ONCE does she apologize or say sorry this happened to my hair. She offers me a "partial refund" and to come back in. I literally tell her, h*** no! Does Kitzia even have a degree? Like who are you employing? * GOOD PART * The owner then says "Let me stop you right there. I'm not going to allow you to defamate my employees, Kitzia is my FRIEND! and she said she knows she didn't do her best work" I was like No.. YOU let me stop you right there.. you are an OWNER and she destroyed my hair and you have NO EMPATHY for someone going through this?? She then replied "I offered a partial refund".Carson & Co. Hi ****** we are very sorry about your poor experience with us. When you came in for your appointment, your stylist had a very in-depth consultation with you explaining that your previously lightened hair by another salon had compromised the integrity of your hair and that she didn't feel comfortable doing a full bonding service on you. You insisted on still getting your hair lightened so the stylist agreed on a face frame highlight to brighten up the pieces around your face and you agreed that was the best solution. Since your hair was compromised, she used a very gentle products that didn't get you as blonde as you were wanting. From there she re-lightened and re-toned the pieces with your permission to the color which you were wanting but you expressed you still weren't satisfied with the color in which you asked because you felt the color "didn't look good on you". The stylist offered to tone again or to see you again and you agreed to come back in. From there you called the salon and spoke to the manager but you wanted to speak with the owner who was out of town. The owner called you the next day from out of town and immediately offered her apologies and gave you two options of a partial refund and a redo, or just a full refund to go to a different salon. You proceeded to raise your voice and use very hurtful language towards her while threatening her small business, when the owner asked why you were so upset you proceeded to insult her, her employee, and her business than hung up the phone. We're sorry how this situation played out and wish it could have ended differently.Customer Response
