Paid deposit of $8000 for fence installation. Told 3-4 weeks. It has been 7 weeks. I have contacted salesman many times always “soon” Given upCustomer response

The business, ATLAS OUTDOORS, told me that they will only return the $8000 deposit if I remove negative ****** review. I did so, and informed them of that and accepted their offer to return my money as I met their condition. Then they are put additional conditions regarding my never posting a negative review anywhere in order to get my money back.
Isn't blackmail against the law?.

We have already released a reimbursement to Mrs. *****.
We immediately removed the fence installed and raked over the disrupted areas on December 22nd.
This should certainly provide a satisfactory resolution to this matter.

I only got my deposit returned when i agreed to remove my negative review of the company and was blackmailed into agreeing to not post any other negative reviews.

An Atlas employee caused significant damage to my masonry wall in my back yard while installing the fence September 2021. We contacted the company to inform them of the damage to our property and it was assessed and agreed that a credit of $1,800 would be issued or the damage would be repaired. To this day, the damage was not repaired. Instead, an unauthorized and unannounced charge of $1,800 was made on our credit card today, June 29,2022, almost one year later!! (see the picture below). We called them multiple times today as soon as we noticed the charges to ask the company why we were charged and no one answered or called back. It was already a hassle to get them to install our fence (it took almost 4 months) as there is virtually little to no communication with them but now no notice before a charge such as this?? Completely unprofessional and wrong! If anything, I am owed that $1,800+ for the damages as well as the time and inconvenience that I have to go through with them! I am owed that money as of today, $1,800+!! Credit card fees, interest as well as time making phone calls to credit card companies! Not to mention that my back yard and fence looks terrible! The fence came out crooked (see photo). It should be discounted further just due to this!! They told me last year that there was nothing that they could do!! No one should have to go through this!Business response
