The owner Orlyn F******, was supposed to redo my garage. He was recommended by my neighbor so right of the top I felt comfortable with hiring him. He was supposed to start work right away, pretty much rushed to get he money and signed the contract (contract was for $5200 - labor & materials). I gave him initially check for $3200. The entire job was supposed to include labor and materials. He showed up all together 3 times just for few hours. he brought only materials that he would need for the time he showed up. very low quality (**** ****** and ended up using my materials to help with his work. he would never show up when he said he would, it usually was 2 or 3 days later. During his last visit he asked for another check ($1000). Even though it didn’t really make sense , again because of my neighbor I gave him that check assuming he would need to get all missing materials (siding and materials for fascia and other trims).That was the last time I saw him. He would not answer calls or texts. I finally told him I will report him so he responded. We had a few minute call (that he supposedly recorded) and I requested a refund. at this point it was pointless to even try to get him back to work as I would not trust him. He assured me he wanted to make things right but he was in *** ****** *or few days, and as soon as he gets back he would give me a refund of $800. I requested $1000 back but he only wanted to agree for $800 which I accepted. I told him to send me a text stating that he will issue me a refund and he did. Few days later he again had an excuse about being in *** ******, and even apologized for delay. And that was the last time he responded. This guy scammed me for more than $1000 ( I was trying to just get something back so agreed on $800) I kept a dumpster by Mr F****** request on my driver for over 2 weeks which costed me additional $150 and he even offered to cover that expense since he caused the delay. He only completed 40% of work but charged me 80%.
