Company is a scam. They won't let you cancel without excessive work so they can keep billing for their outdated technology equipment. You call and they tell you to email in writing to cancel. Then they don't answer you and keep sending goo around to different people claiming the contract is under review, yet I don't have an active contract as it matured over 14 months ago. Total SCAM company!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Safe Home Security, Inc. Especially do not share any personal information with this company with their completely inappropriate employees (details on this at the end). Long story short... My alarm panel malfunctioned a year into my 3 year contract... BLARING ALARM, unable to disarm as the touchscreen stopped responding... I have the worst interaction of my life with the person who answered the 1-800# for monitoring, Bill. Bill is unable to turn the alarm off, he's unable to shut down/restart the system, he's unable to help, I'll need to turn the alarm off... I ask to speak to someone else, "No one else is available, you'll have to call back"...Bill again... Could I please speak to the manager? "No managers are available, you'll need to call back"...Bill again. We're 20 minutes in, the alarm is still blaring, I ask to disconnect my service, "That would be irresponsible of me to allow you to disconnect your service, we can't leave your house unprotected, why don't you calm down and call back tomorrow?" I email SHS with a breakdown of the alarm issue and the Bill issues and give written notice I would like to cancel my service...they respond, I'll need to schedule and pay for a repair to assess the alarm panel as they don't usually have trouble with these panels and it would be irresponsible of them to allow me to cancel my service. No thank you SHS, so, here is the most disturbing part...I've had the alarm panel disconnected/taken apart for over a month now, Bill has been calling me from random numbers... "Stephanie, this is Bill from SHS, I'm unable to see your alarm system online, we're not able to monitor your alarm if it's still disconnected." ... "This is Bill from SHS, I'm calling because I'm unable to connect to your alarm system." And he has called multiple times, from multiple numbers, I've complained and the company has done nothing, DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION OR ALLOW THIS COMPANY INTO YOUR HOME!!!Review from Lisa G

This company is horrible. Their customer service is even worse. My house burned down with all the equipment and I reached out to them. They told me they can and won’t stop the monthly payments even though no longer have a house or equipment. I explained I e turned it in to the insurance but it takes a while for insurance. It’s been 3 months and we are still waiting. I have called and emailed multiple times and each time I’m rudely told there is nothing they can or will do since I have a contract. Zero empathy. They won’t even put it on hold till insurance is done or atleast till I get another house. They did not care one bit and only cared about getting their money. Again the customer service is awful. This company is terrible and does not care about its customers one bit. However I had Vivint before and they were amazing. Always caring and nice and responsive. Worse customer service every, used them for a few years they wanted me to sign 5 year contract i said no just want to pay up front once a year which they did, then started sending a bill every month, so i called to tell them not to renew at the end of my year subscription oh my god, they do not cancel over the phone, so emailed 3 times from my email, then once from there web site they told me they never received any of my emails, they did not want to cancel my service, told me because im in ******* it automatic renewal even though i signed nothing They are so desperate to steal money from small business really the worstReview from Stacey L.

It absolutely amazes me that this company is still in business! Our story is nothing new that has not already been reported in the multiple complaints found here. My father signed up for this service in 2018 with a 3 year contract. The system did not work and when contacting SHS they stated they would have a technician come out. They also gave Dad a lower monthly monitoring rate, however the kicker was that they drew up an new contract. This was in 2020, so now another 3 years. The system continued to malfunction so Dad just unhooked it. He paid out the original contract that ended in 2021 and contacted SHS (via phone and email) to come pick up their equipment and cancelled the auto-payment. The representative(s) stated that his contract was not done and that it ended in 2023. Of course, my Dad did not realized that with the lower monitoring rate they gave him in 2020 was a new contract start date pushing it out to 2023. This company is deceptive and their equipment does not work. My Dad passed in September of 2023. I've contacted them multiple times via phone and email. The representatives are rude. We continue to get bills. A system that has been disconnected since 2021 and still receiving monitoring fees. Not to mention, I informed them that my father passed yet they continue to charge fees. To my recollection, per the contract, upon death will end the contract. Not! My next step is to involve an attorney and send the complaint to the Attorney General. I moved out of a residence almost two (2) years ago that had former service with SafeGuard America. I notified them not once, byt numerous times , yet I keep receiving bills for the former address. I have emailed and texted my cancellation request dated back to October 31, 2022, my latest email went out on 01.02.2024, and I am still receiving a bill. This is crazy, I haven't lived in that house for almost two years why would you keep billing me, just to get money? If I had my way I would have never signed up with this company, they aren't fair at all.Review from Michelle H

This is the worst mistake ever made when we seek home protection from Safe Guard America. They never answered the phone, and the equipment was not worth a dime. Failed 3 week after installment. They continue to bully and harass us with bills monthly. They are crooks that need to be stopped. this has been going on since 2019 and we are tired. Think now we need to go to court. A last resort for the harassment and bullyiny my husband has endured. Insanity!!!!Review from Nancy F

If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve been given the run around for months with an old system & sensors that keep failing. They will not let you out of contracts despite having a system that just doesn’t work. Don’t bother calling, you will get nowhere.Review from Joni W. M

I sent in writing 3 times to have this company cancel the service and send me a copy of the contract. I have also called and requested cancellation and asked for the contract. They failed to do any of them and will not return my call from their legal department. I originally asked them to cancel the service in 2018 when I got injured. RUN!!! Don't never do business with this company,this is FRAUD to not cancel a service and to bill a person past the agreement year!!!!Review from Michael J

We were scammed,No help from company. Over charging us, said we signed a 5 year contract and the payment is what it is, which is more than we were told. We were given no information on this service so we didn't know exactly how much the payment's are and how long the service was for. Called company, keep getting different answers to solving problem, but with no change, tried to call sells rep. who said that he would send all information when we signed up, can't reach him.
