I spent an outrageous of $7,700 on a device called ******, which was supposed to boost collagen and address skin laxity issues. After 3 treatments for my face and legs, there wasn't even a 10% improvement! They tried manipulating the lighting in the 'after' photos to make it seem like there was a difference, and then I clearly requested to keep the lighting/angle/position consistent for a fair comparison and then they observed themselves that my skin looked almost the same. After extensive back-and-forth discussions with the manager, they tried to squeeze more money out of me, offering *** for my face and *** for my legs, asking for another $1500, with the face treatment supposedly complementary. When I refused to pay a single penny more, citing almost the $8000 I'd already wasted, they even canceled my complementary appointment an hour before. I then went to ****** review and left a 1-star review with all my bad experiences about them. They then contacted me through their lawyer trying to scare me to remove my bad review otherwise they would do a lawsuit against me. I feel deeply hurt both mentally and physically. Mentally, because of the bad behaviors and threats they did to me, making me feel distressed and unsafe. Physically, because their device caused extreme pain each time I used it (3 times). The entire process took several hours each session. Disappointingly, they never explained the extent of the pain I would endure before I started the treatment. Instead, I only discovered it after I had already made all the payments upfront before I start the treatment back in Dec. The amount of pain was so much that they had to use Nitros Oxide which was not planned before. I also had a black out 10 days after the procedure back in Jan that made me go to ER and spent a lot of money on brain scans months after. Regarding the results they say that you signed a paper saying that you might not get any results but thats not what was explained by their sales person.Business response

Dear *** *********,
We write in response to the complaint submitted by ***** *********. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to Cure Med Spa, as evidenced by 141 ****** reviews submitted by customers, 140 of which are 5-star reviews and 1 of which is a 4-star review. In Ms. *********’s case, in addition to the services for which she paid, she also received thousands of dollars of additional complimentary services. Cure respectfully but vehemently disagrees with several of Ms. *********’s claims, including her claim that Cure personnel manipulated lighting in “after” photos during an appointment. Cure did not manipulate lighting and its staff even took some direction from Ms. ********* with respect to those photos at her behest.
Prior to the procedures, Ms. ********* was apprised both in writing and verbally that multiple treatments were required for the procedures she had requested and that it was possible that the result will be minimal or not help at all. She signed an authorization to that effect and was apprised of possible contraindications and risks and that results can vary. We nonetheless disagree with Ms. *********’s claim that “there wasn’t even an 10% improvement”.
We were disappointed that Ms. ********* had left a 1-star ****** review, particularly after she had previously posted, and subsequently removed, a 5-star review in which she praised Cure’s staff as “highly skilled and knowledgeable,” noted that they “went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction,” were committed to “providing a professional and luxurious experience” that “sets them apart” and that they provided “exceptional service.” Unfortunately, Ms. *********’s subsequent 1-star review contained statements about Cure that were false and defamatory and required involvement of counsel.
We regret that Ms. *********’s subjective opinion of her experience at Cure was dissatisfying for her. Customer satisfaction and superior customer service remains a top priority for Cure, as we strive to delight our clients every day.
